Deena huffed. "I guess you might as well come along. It's
not like I have much of a choice in the matter." They flew off on
their Palisman. Ah, great. What were they doing? Well... this place
might have food. And they hadn't eaten in days. Still, was it such
a good idea?...
Maylee's POV
Maylee took a deep breath, and pressed the button. The
array of weapons showed up, as she expected. Was she really going
to do this? Slay the Grom monster, become the Grom Queen... maybe
people would be proud of her. Maybe they'd like her. Maybe this
would change anything. But if she couldn't... she'd doom everyone.
May stiffened at the idea of carrying a weapon. She didn't know if
she could really bring herself to kill anything... even a being
that tried to hurt people every year... but that meant it had to be
destroyed, right? Right? Oh, no, no, no, she wasn't sure! Okay,
just- take some potions with you. Maybe throw a few of those. But
could she overcome her greatest fear? She settled on a bow. Getting
it from a distance... that might be the right approach. "Require
assist?" an odd voice asked. She turned.
Agnes's POV
"O-o-oh, hey... Agnes, right? I think I would like some
help. But... I don't think you're allowed to help me." The girl
half-cackled, half-sobbed. "Unless, hey, maybe you can tell me the
outcome of the fight? I'm going to fail, right? Gr-Great Titan,
that rhymes." Agnes put a hand on her shoulder, and stared at her
with eyes unblinking. "Might win, Lake," Agnes told her. "Might
win." Honestly, that was probably the clearest words Maylee had
ever heard from her. "But much suffer. Difficulty." Not
easy. "O-Of course. How could I possibly expect it to be easy?"
May replied with a laugh. "You sure you're not just guessing?" "Am
precise." Agnes nodded with such insistence that May "Maylee" Lakes
might've thought she stood a chance. "Th-Thank you... I still don't
know if I can do this, but- thank you, Agnes." The pink-haired girl
smiled and stepped away from her, but she was still crying. "I'll
try my best... for you, and everyone else."
Clarke's POV
Clarke Connor was sneaking outside to mess with the Grom
monster. He'd hide, of course, at a safe distance, so that he could
produce illusions to make it even more terrifying. He cackled
overdramatically. Perfect, oh, perfect!! This would be a Grom to
remember.
Maylee's POV
Maylee found herself almost floating into the hallways. She
wasn't sure why. "H-Hey... Toshiko? Er- what's- going on with you?"
Her fear and hesitation vanished. "Wh-what are you doing? I just-
thought I'd come see my- k-kind-of-friend before I fight that
thing. Or maybe I'm just a coward. I probably am, aren't I?
A-anyway, what are you doing?"
Brooksook squealed and seized her in a hug. "Thank you, thank you,
thank you!" All thoughts had been banished form her mind. She was
over the moon. "Oh StarClan, I'm so excited!" she blurted. Then
promptly smacked her hands over her mouth. "Er- I mean,
titan..."
She was blushing, sick with a case of severe embarrassment in front
of your crush.
Toshiko promptly slammed all the papers into her locker and whipped
around, a deer in headlight's expression on her face. "Nothing!"
she yelped. "Nothing- er-" She checked herself. "Just, thinking. So
uh, you're scared to fight Grom, right?"

Maylee laughed. "Er... okay- if you say so, and... yes. I'm
scared to fight Grom. But- I'm... also scared of... something
else." May wound her longest strands of hair around her fingers,
and unwound, and rewound the strands. "I- I don't know... if I
really want to talk about it. And- I'm- really... really confused."
She continued tugging at the strands of hair in most unconscious
nervousness. Could she really open up to her "kind-of-friend" about
this?
Waylon's POV
Waylon groaned. Great, a night of doing basically nothing.
He kicked the floor in boredom. Honestly, maybe even Detention
would be better. Although... he'd just be sitting there doing
nothing, instead of standing here doing nothing. Maybe he could
study the Grom monster up close? Now that sounded interesting!
Hardly a stable individual, though... changing shape constantly in
response to student fears...
Agnes's POV
Agnes went to her crystal ball, frowning in deep thought.
Had her intuition been correct? She paled. Oh, no. No. She gazed
deep into it... "Something most horrible is going to happen right
awaaaay," the Oracle-ghost oozed. "Was wrong... was wrong!" She had
to go tell her... what would happen... before it was too
late!
Clarke's POV
Clarke groaned. When was this stupid Grom monster going to
show up? He couldn't pull his pranks without it! He stood in the
shadows, waiting impatiently...
Deena's POV
Deena took a deep breath. "Time to disguise myself..." They
dyed their hair light-orange, unravelled their braids, and cut
their hair short. Snip-snip-snip-snip. Deena also found a suitable
outfit that a supervisor might wear at the Grom, and put in
different-colored contact lenses. They made their eyes sting, but
hopefully, with this disguise, they could steal some food... if
they weren't mistaken, it had been one year since the last Grom,
and there would be food at the dance for the taking, if they could
just blend in. Taking one more deep breath, Deena entered the
building, and hid their staff in a nearby bush.
NPC Teacher's POV
"Oh, right, one more! Well, Aster, what's your deepest
wish?" (I'll just pretend NPC Teacher is still out there)
Aster grinned with excitement and stood in front of all the
palismans, “To become powerful and be able to go on amazing
adventures when I grow!” They exclaimed. Of course adventures would
mean causing havoc among everyone around her through their silly
pranks.
"Go on," Toshiko said hurriedly, glancing nervously behind her.
"I'd uh... love to hear about what you have to say and whatnot."
She managed a very forced smile. Oh, can this just be over
quickly? Titan, curse my niceness!
Brooksook squealed with happiness again. "Oh Titan, do you mean it?
Swear it?" She jabbed her in the chest with her index finger.
"Swear it! Swear you love warriors!"

In the distance of Grom, Nymphia stood and watched the students to
make sure nothing went wrong. After what she witnessed with the
students she thought she should be supervising them, after all
there seems to be so many immature children that the teacher had to
issue almost everyone detention.
Sandra listens closely and looks around at all the books, she
remembered reading a whole ton of books when she was very young.
Her mother used to read all about being a witch but as fate would
had it,she never got to see her become one.
Hey,the name's Fern! I'm an autistic adult who draws and watches
cartoons.
Brooksook laughed and released her shoulders. "Well, can't argue
with that~" She winked. "You do look pretty cute in that." She
giggled like an idiot. "Oh Titan, I'm so happy."

Brooksook's nose wrinkled in amusement. "What, you want to dance
with me in this state?" She gestured to her shredded black
hoodie and jeans. "I mean, I appreciate the sentiment, but-"

Brooksook yelped. "H-Hey, I didn't consent to this-" But she
allowed herself to be dragged onto the dance floor, a big smile on
her face. "You big goof!"
