Is there a way that I can see how far I am in a level?

If you mean trainerlevels, yes, you can see your trainerlevel and trainerpoints progress at the top of your userprofile (right under your username and next to your avatar).

You can also check your trainerlevel progress in the userbar located at the top of every page. If you hover your mouse over your trainerlevel on the left, it show you your trainerpoints progress.
