The Silver Tougued Mightyena is about my new OC Jiji and
about his adventures (he is also obviously a Mightyena if you
haven't guessed)
A little about Jiji is that he is very charismatic and
persuasive. He works as a traveling merchant but he really is a con
artist/scammer, he sells fake items to gain money and very rarely
will any of his items be real (He puts a few real items in there so
people will think all the other ones are real too)
This story will sometimes be formatted as a kind of
'journal entry' of Jiji's personal journal talking about what he
did that day and what he plans to do in the future. The rest will
be formatted in the usual roleplay like style
Also as a heads up since Jiji is a new character there
will be lore/backstory drops to explain the significance of a
character, place, or item to him (the character, place, or item
will also be highlighted to show there will be a lore drop on
it)
Journal Entries will be
in brown and italics
Roleplay like story telling will be in default text Lore/Backstory drops will be in green
and bold, they will also be at the end of the
post
I never really planned
to get a Journal, otherwise I would have had one since the
beginning. I really only got it since there was this old Drampa
selling a bunch of these Journals. Of course I asked that old
Drampa why he was selling so many, it turns out that he was trying
to get some money to buy his wife some medicine since she was so
sick... I felt a little bad for the guy so I bought a Journal and
gave him a big tip..
Anyway enough about how
I got this Journal, since I got it pretty late into my travels I
might as well catch it up right? I just finished going to every
town in one region, and I honestly didn't bother to learn the
region's name. Currently I just finished selling my wears in the
first town in the second region, again I didn't bother to learn the
name. The town I just finished selling in is at the south west of
the region, the next town I'm heading to is upper north. I'm also
in the forest between the two towns, I'm waiting for theCrazy Birdbefore I head to the next town so I can get
some information about the residents there. Anyway I guess this is
it for my first Journal Entry, I'll write more when something else
happens.
The 'Crazy Bird' Is a Noctowl
named Orkei. Jiji and Orkei meet when Jiji found him being beat up
by a group of spearow, back then Orkei was only a Hoothoot. After
Jiji saved him Orkei decided to dedicate himself to help his savior
by going to the next town Jiji plans to go to and get information
about the residents so Jiji can see how to sell to the residents
better. Over their travels Orkei had evolved and Jiji had taught
him how to fight better ('crazy bird' is the nickname Jiji gave
him)
The 'Crazy Bird' was seen in the distance flying towards
Jiji and it seemed that he was carrying something in his talons
"Jiji! I'm back and I brought a newspaper with me!" The Noctowl
excitedly said as he handed the rolled up newspaper to the
Mightyena "Nice job Orkei... mind if you give me a quick summary of
what you found out?" The Mightyena said scanning through the
newspaper "Well I found out that there is this cute Azumarill
couple that just had their first egg! A cute thing really. Also
there is this newly wed couple of Leavanny, I heard they just moved
in with each other this week! They seem like a happy couple" The
Noctowl quickly and happily said as the Mightyena finished up
reading "I guess love is in the air today.. but that means four
less pokemon to get money off of, since they'll be more cautious in
spending it. However.. there is this wealthy Excadrill we can scam
a few bags of gold out of.. I heard he's a snob so it'll be fine to
take a bit of gold, he probably won't even know it's gone.. Pack up
the cart! We're gonna leave soon!" The Mightyena said to
the Noctowl "Yes sir!" The Noctowl said back before quickly
preparing the cart for travel
After preparing the cart for travel Orkei helped Jiji strap
the cart to him. Orkei then flew to the back of the cart "Ready to
go when you are sir!" The Noctowl said waving to the Mightyena.
Jiji began pulling the cart and started to walk over to the town
with Orkei walking behind the cart helping to start it up by
pushing it from the back "Once we get to the town where do you want
me to go sir?" The Noctowl asked awaiting instructions "Just stay a
good distance away from the cart while I advertise, but do keep
gathering information about the town" Jiji responded starting to be
less burdened by the heaviness of the cart "You got it sir! I'll be
keeping scout then!" Orkei had excitedly said to Jiji. Jiji had
nodded in response to the Noctowl showing that he approved of what
he said before starting to get lost in his thoughts 'I can never
seem to fully understand Orkei.. I don't see how he's so excited
about this, and why he even wanted to join me.. he knows how I'm a
con artist too, and yet he still follows me.. though I do enjoy his
company' Jiji had thought to himself continuing to walk to the
town

Jiji had stopped near the entrance of the town "You should
start scouting now Orkei, I'll be fine from here" The Mightyena
said before starting to walk again "Yes sir! I'll be back once you
finish selling for the day!" The Noctowl flew up into the sky and
started gliding over the houses in the town. Jiji struggled
slightly to start pulling the cart but after a few steps the
heaviness slowly went away to a more manageable weight, the
Mightyena slowly walked towards the main square to start
advertising his items. Once Jiji had secured an area in the square
where he will be the most seen he cleared his throat "Every pokemon
come and see! I have many rare never seen before items for an
affordable price! I have items that help you become stronger! I
have items that will help for everyday things! And I have
collectable items too! You think it I have it!" The Mightyena
quickly gained a small crowd of pokemon entranced by his speech,
eager to look at his different wares. Jiji then noticed the wealthy
Excadrill coming towards the small crowd he gathered 'I see the
Money Miltank is here.. I'll get him to spend extra a little later
and focus on the other pokemon first' The Mightyena continued
to keep the attention of the small crowd of pokemon before letting
all of them offer for his items
Orkei flew over the houses and landed in front of a message
board "Let's see what other news I can find.. Oh! There's going to
a festival soon! Too bad me and Jiji are going to be gone by then..
hmmm.. there seem to be not much else.." After seeing no new news
Orkei flew up into the sky again and flew over the houses once more
seeing if he can listen in on any conversations. The Noctowl landed
near a fountain and decided to take a break there seeing that it
was a good place to eavesdrop. Orkei fixed his feathers a bit
before hearing two pokemon talking on the other side of the
fountain 'I didn't think I would hear something this early! Best
to get closer to hear what their talking about better' Orkei
slowly and carefully walked a little closer to the two pokemon, he
was a good distance away but still was close enough to hear what
they were talking about "Did you hear that there was this group of
trouble makers coming towards our town?" One of the pokemon said
"Really? How did you hear that?" The other pokemon said "Well my
cousin, who lives in the town a little south from us, just mailed
me a letter talking about a group of Pignite with a Emboar leading
them. He said the group was heading up north to where we are" The
1st pokemon said "Oh really? We've been having so much trouble
recently.. and the festival is coming up soon too.. let's hope the
festival will be trouble free" The 2nd pokemon replied "Agreed..
anyway let's go buy the ingredients for that cake we're going to
make!" The two pokemon then walked away talking about cake
'Oooh.. cake.. sounds good.. No wait! I need to warn Jiji about
The Pigs coming here!'
Orkei quickly took off to the skies flying towards Jiji to warn
him.
'The Pigs' is a group of
Pignite being lead by an Emboar. In the first Region Jiji went
around selling to, he encountered The Pigs. Of course Jiji had
scammed them out of their money and the group wanted revenge on
Jiji. They have been going to each town Jiji has gone to to tell
the residents there that he is a con artist, though they would
always fail because Jiji would either smooth talk his way out of it
or their trouble maker reputation would make them seem
untrustworthy. The Pigs are still set on getting their revenge and
as a result they seemed to have followed Jiji to his second Region
('The Pigs' is a nickname Jiji gave them to spite them, the group's
real name is 'The Boars'. The group always gets angry whenever they
are called pigs)
As Orkei saw Jiji in the distance he stopped himself from
going any further 'Oh, Jiji isn't done selling yet! I'll tell
him about The Pigs later, but for now I guess I should see how
close they are to the town' Orkei swiftly took a turn to the
forest. He flew close to the top of the trees to be undetected as
he looked for The Pigs "Aye boss, you sure that dog went through
here?" Orkei quickly ducked into the trees and landed on a nearby
branch when he heard the voice "Yes I'm sure! See look at that!
Wheel tracks from his cart, he must be at the next town already!"
An Emboar loudly said 'The Pigs are still pretty far away from
the town.. it's about late afternoon so if they take no breaks
they'll be at the town around midnight to 2 am, but if they do they
won't be at the town till late morning.. around 10 probably..
and--' "Let's take a break here!" The Emboar loudly said
interrupting Orkei's thoughts "Huh? But boss shouldn't we take no
breaks so we could get there as quick as possible??" One of the
Pignite asked "Well you see young one I'm guessing that greedy
Mightyena would stay at the town for about 3 days before leaving.
Which means we can take at most 2 breaks before we get to the town!
So why not use one of the breaks here huh? I mean we are pretty
much half way there!" The Emboar said "Wow! Boss is so cool! Boss
is so smart!" The two Pignite say as the Emboar puffs up his chest
proudly 'Well I mean he's not wrong... Jiji is planning on
staying for about 2 and a half days, buuuut.. they're far from half
way..' Orkei swiftly flew through the trees on his way back to
the town
Oreki arrived back at the town and saw that Jiji's little
crowd had left, it seemed he was done for the day. Oreki softly
landed near Jiji who was cleaning up the cart "Ah Orkei! What news
have you gathered?" Jiji asked seeing the Noctowl land "The Pigs
seemed to have followed us to this region, they're pretty far from
the town though" The Noctowl informed "Really? Those idiots never
learn huh? How stubborn... anyway when do you think they'll be
here?" The Mightyena asked stopping his cleaning "The Emboar
guesses that we'll be here for 3 days, I'm not sure how much they
plan to travel but they are currently stopping for the day" Oreki
replied "I see.. then they'll probably be here after we leave,
though if they choose not to be idiotic then they may reach us in
time.. though that's not likely.. but I still want you to keep an
eye on them, just incase" Jiji said "Yes sir! But how was today?
Did you sell many items?" The Noctowl asked after noting the
instructions given to him "It was a pretty good day. I got that
Excadrill to spend quite a bit, I got a little more gold than we
normally would on a daily basis" The Mightyena replied thinking
about the day "Anyway help me pack up the cart, we're going to be
camping in the forest nearby" Jiji said preparing the cart "Are we
not going to be staying at one of the inns?" Orkei asked helping
Jiji prepare the cart "No, I found that it would be easier if we
just camped for the first few towns. Later on we will start going
to the inns once we have enough money to spare" The Mightyena
replied straping the cart to himself "Ah smart thinking! Of course
not unexpected as you always look ahead" The Noctowl said,
cheerfully commending Jiji
Me and Oreki had
arrived at the second town a few days ago and right now we are
currently packing up to go to the third. The idiot Pigs aren't here
yet so I guess they decided to take their sweet time coming to this
town. The travel distance to the third town is about 2 - 3 days
according to the residents in the second town, thanks to Oreki
making friends with the town's grandma she gave us a map of the
region. The map will definitely aid us in our travels as so far we
have only been going off of the town resident's knowledge of the
region. Also apparently the town's grandma came to say goodbye, she
brought us some cookies she made.. (there was a short space here
and some smudges).. The cookies are fantastic and Oreki gave her a
bit of gold as a 'thank you'
We're on our way to the next town and the
journey doesn't seem too harsh. The terrain is mostly flat and
there are no news of any theives that could steal our items, though
just incase we made sure to be extra careful. So far the only
things that could cause problems would be either the Pigs catching
up or some unexpected weather changes. I think that's all for now,
I'll write more when anything else happens
Journal Entry #3
We're making good
progress on our travels to the next town. Oreki suspects that we
have about 1 day left of traveling before we arrive at the town.
There hasn't been any big troubles so far just the cart getting
stuck here and there as well as a wheel braking. We're planning on
resting a little later in the day today then go full forward to the
town. We have already looked at the terrain and there seems to be
noth--.....
....(The sentence was cut off... the rest of the page
seemed to be burnt)
It was early morning and Jiji was writing in his Journal
"Alright! We're all set to go!" Orkei said walking up to Jiji "Oh?
What are you doing? Is that the Journal you bought from the
Drampa?" The Noctowl curiously looked closer "Yup, since I bought
it might as well use it right? Just writing about what we're
planning" Jiji responded not taking his eyes off the paper
"Watching you write kinda makes me wanna have a Journal myself" The
Noctowl commented watching Jiji "We can get you one a little later
in our--" Jiji was cut off by a fire ball burning the rest of the
page he was writing on. The two quickly turned to see the Emboar
and two Pignites a few feet away from them "HAHAHA! I knew that we
would be able to catch up with you two!" The Emboar proudly said
while the two Pignites chuckle "Wow Boss! You're so smart! Tracking
down the evil dog!" The two Pignites say feeding the Emboar's ego
"Now you pesky Mightyena! Let's end this once and for all with a
battle! You stand no chance! I have the type advantage! HAHAHAHA!"
Jiji quickly puts away his Journal as he nodded to Orkei who flew
off "I was surprised to see you here.. after all, you Pigs don't
have a single brain cell to make a good enough plan" The sly
Mightyena said taunting the Emboar "Why can't you ever get it
right?! It's Boars you stubborn dog!" The Emboar angrily said as
smoke comes out of his snout "Oh I know it's Boars.. I just say
Pigs to spite you" The Mightyena comments giving a mischievous
smirk which enraged the Emboar even more "ARGHHH!! Fine! Well I
have a trick up my sleeve! For you see I got my loyal Pignites to
get me explosive rocks at the last town!" One of the Pignites held
up a black and red colored bag, then opened it soon after "Once I
throw these and they touch you, you will be blown to bits!" The
Emboar says grabbing a handful of them. The Emboar then quickly
threw the rocks which softly hit Jiji, doing nothing "I guess you
got faulty explosives" The Mightyena remarks dusting off the few
rocks stuck in his fur "What?! Why didn't they explode?!" The
Emboar asked to the Pignites "We don't know Boss! It said so on the
packaging that it explodes!" One of the Pignites say pointing at a
certain spot on the bag. The Emboar closely looks then abruptly
takes the bag, pointing at the same spot "It says taste the
explosion! And I now just realized that these are Pop Geodudes!
Why didn't you ask others in the store if these were authentic?!
Didn't you know that you were getting candy?!" The Emboar asked to
the Pignites once more "We did Boss! One of the kids in the store
also had a bag so we asked them, they said that they popped in
their mouth! Well now that I think about it, it did seem weird they
said that.."
As the Emboar and Pignites where talking about the mistake,
Orkei attacked the Emboar from behind. It seemed that Orkei had
used the move Fly to get a Super Effective hit at the Emboar "Boss!
Are you ok?!" The two Pignites quickly go to the sides of the
Emboar, worried for him "I'm fine! Get that dog before he gets
away!" The Emboar says as he points to the two running away "I
guess I was just in time! Right Jiji?" Orkei said as he helped push
the cart while they were running away "You always come at the right
time! Besides they can barely do anything too dangerous!" Jiji
hastily said back as he was trying to control his breath from
running. Two flaming wheels appeared on either sides of the cart,
the fire soon went away revealing the two Pignites chasing after
them "They're faster than I remember" the Mightyena says as he
becomes more cautious by their appearance "Boss made us go through
some speed training! Now we can catch up to you whenever you try
and run!" The Pignites say chuckling at their new found speed
"Speed means nothing if you can't defend yourself well enough!"
Orkei says using Psychic to trip up the Pignites, causing them to
be left in the dust "Job well done Orkei! Now let's quickly find a
place to rest, away from those annoying Pigs!" Jiji says as he runs
a little slower, getting exhausted from the chase "Yes sir! I'll be
back when I find a good enough place to stop by!" The Noctowl
swiftly flew off in a different direction, hiding within the trees
as the tired Mightyena continues running
After finding a good enough spot to rest Orkei signaled
Jiji about said spot. The now tired Mightyena lightly jogged over
to the area and promptly collapsed when he reached the area
"Ughhh... These chases are getting harder and harder for me to
finish.." Jiji said unstraping the cart from him "Don't worry Jiji
I checked around, the Pigs are far from us and are even confused on
where we went. We can have a quick rest stop here, besides that
chase got us closer to our destination!" The Noctowl said wanting
to put a positive light on a situation "Atleast we're closer...
anyway how far are we from the town now?" Jiji asked drinking some
of the water they packed while resting. Orkei pulled out the map
and studied it "I'm guessing we're about 1 day and 8 hours away
from the town. If we take a 10 minute break here we could then
start walking for about 4 hours before taking another break" The
Noctowl said as Jiji put back the water "Sounds like a plan, did
you get any information about this next town while talking with the
residents of the last one?" The Mightyena asked as he leaned
against the cart sitting down "I didn't get that much info.. Though
I do know from Grandma that they're fairly welcoming, but there has
been rumors of a group of Sableye causing trouble for the
residents" Orkei said as he took out His Notebook flipping through it. Jiji
sighs before talking "Great more touble.. I don't think we should
stay in that town for long so we don't have to get into unnecessary
fights"
After their short 10 minute break the two started their
walk towards the 3rd town. Orkei flies around the cart as Jiji
pulls it, occasionally needing help from Orkei to get it going "I
think we'll need to stop at one of the future towns to upgrade this
cart, it's getting too old and raggedy" Jiji says as Orkei helps
him get the cart unstuck in a small pot hole "Arghh.. phew!" Orkei
says as he gets the cart unstuck "I agree, it's getting harder and
harder to travel with this. I'll see if any towns have good
carpenters or repairmen" The Noctowl added before flying once more
"Well until then we just have to deal with this, let's focus on
getting to the next town for now" Jiji says continuing on his
path
Orkei has a notebook in which
he writes down what he has learned about a town in their current
region. The current notebook Orkei has is actually his second one,
the first notebook was used for the first region and Orkei thought
it would be more organized if he had different notebooks for
different regions
Jiji and Orkei had finally arrived at the 3rd town. Though
they had a few complications getting there, like the Pigs catching
up to then 1 or 2 times, or the cart getting stuck but they finally
made it there early morning "That journey over to this town was
annoying.. so many minor inconveniences" The Mightyena had
complained as they went into town "It was more eventful than other
times but it could be worse!" The Noctowl said trying to put the
situation in a better light as always. After the two looked around
the town to find the square both sensed something off... "Orkei,
you can feel the tension in the air like I do right?" The now
on-edge Mightyena asked "It does feel a little different.. there
also doesn't seem to be much pokemon out and about either.." Oreki
replied now sensing the tension the Mightyena was referring to. It
be came quieter.. the rustling of the tree leaves becoming louder
along with the silence, the few pokemon out of their homes seemed
to have suddenly left the area. Everything became still... for..
just.. a.. moment... when suddenly the silence was stripped away by
a big THUD along with the clashing of items coming from the cart.
With Jiji still straped to it he felt the shaking, the two quickly
turned around seeing a menacing looking Sableye on top of the cart
"It seems that we have a few uninvited guests..." the Sableye said
with a raspy voice and a big grin. 5 or 6 other Sableyes came into
the area from different directions, some carrying blunt objects to
use at weapons "Orkei I think your 'could be worse' comment just
backfired" Jiji said to Orkei after the Sableyes came
"Well since you came into our town without
our permission, it's only fair to get a little fee back.
Right boys?" The Sableye on the cart said with the rest
simultaneously agreeing. The Sableye on the cart was the leader and
they definitely looked like it too. They had cracks in their left
gemstone eye and many scars all over their body, showing the many
battles it fought in. The main Sableye jumped down to the part of
the cart where the items were shown "Looks like you got a lot of
trinkets here.. hmm.. they all look so good, I don't know which to
pick.." The Sableye reached for one of the closer items to him but
was stopped by Jiji's low growl "Don't. Touch. Anything." The
Mightyena warned hating how the Sableye acted. Jiji unstraped
himself from the cart getting ready for a fight "You're really
starting to annoy me y'know? Commanding me like your my boss and
stuff. Besides you're just a traveling merchant, all you do is bark
with no bite" The Sableye remarks causing the other Sableyes to
laugh. Jiji was trying his best to control his anger up to this
point to not get into an unnecessary fight, but after the comment
the Sableye made he was ready beat him into a pulp. Jiji quickly
pounced using Play Rough to attack, knocking off and taking away
half the health of the Sableye "How's that for all bark and no
bite? Pest. " Jiji remarked feeling satisfied of the damage he did.
The Sableye was clearly furious, but he was also surprised on how
much damage he took from the Mightyena. He now knows that Jiji was
going to be a tougher opponent than he initially thought "I guess I
may have underestimated your strength, but--" The Sableye was
interrupted by a familiar loud voice "We have managed to catch up
with you dog!!" The Emboar and two Pignites was seen in the
distance walking up to the Sableyes, Jiji, and Orkei
As the Emboar walked closer he noticed all of the Sableye
"Huh? What's going on here?" The Emboar wondered "You just rudely
interrupted my conversation with the merchant" The Sableye angrily
said to the Emboar, standing up and facing him "What?! That dog is
going to be dealing with me! Now get out of the way!" The Emboar
shouted back "Great.. another one that thinks they can order me
around.. look big guy! I'm too busy dealing with the merchant, so
why don't you go over there and wait your turn" the Sableye said.
Jiji and Orkei looked at each other "Should we leave now? They seem
to be busy fighting with each other and we can't really sell
anything here" Orkei suggested while the Sableye and Emboar were
arguing "We definitely should, let's go while they're distracted"
Jiji said before straping himself to the cart. The duo quickly
tried to run away but the Emboar and Sableye quickly noticed
because of the loud creaking of the cart wheel "Hey! What are you
two doing?! We're not done with you yet!" The Emboar and Sableye
said in unison "Quick! You guys run after the merchant and his
bird! I'll quickly deal with this guy!" The Sableye said commanding
the other Sableyes "What? No! You two, go after the dog I'll
deal with him!" The Emboar said commanding two Pignites. The pack
of Sableye and the two Pignites where casing after Orkei and Jiji,
fighting amongst each other to stop the other group from getting
the duo first. As Orkei and Jiji were close to the exit of the town
one of the Sableyes jumped onto Orkei's wing, they stabbed his wing
with the sharp blunt object they were holding but got knocked off
"Gaahh! One of them got me!" Oreki exclaimed landing quickly and
started running "I'll treat your wound when we get to a safe place!
Right now we need to keep running!" Jiji said though worried for
Orkei
Finally being able to out run and escape the Sableyes and
Pignites, the two stopped at a clearing in the forest. Jiji then
started to do what he can to help Orkei's wound "How much does it
hurt?" Jiji asked after cleaning the wound "It's fine.. it hurts a
little bit but the cut isn't that deep" Orkei said laying down
stretching out his damaged wing "I don't think I'll be able to fly
for a day or two.. so our journey to the 4th town will be longer
than planned.." Orkei said while Jiji bandages up his wing. Jiji
sighs "That's fine, just don't overdo yourself until your fully
healed. How long do you think the journey would be now?" Jiji
opened up the map next to Orkei for him to see "It would be 4 to 5
days till we reach the next town" Orkei said studying the map
carefully "This gap is definitely longer than the others.. can you
walk or do you need to rest a little more?" The Mightyena asked
rolling up the map looking at all the scars Orkei has on his wings
and body, the scars looked as if they were patterns on him. Orkei
slowly got up "I can walk, but I'll tell you when I need rest" The
two of them started their long journey to the 4th town. After
walking for a few hours on their trip to the 4th town the duo had
decided to rest for the day. It was close to night and the sun was
turning in for the day "This should be a good place to rest.. Orkei
is your wing doing better?" The Mightyena asked as he prepared the
camp "It's doing a little better.. I just need some rest" Oreki
replied "Oh! Do you need help setting up camp?" The Noctowl wanted
to help despite his injuries "No need, I just need to get a fire
going. Now get some rest, you are in no position to help me
currently" The Mightyena firmly said to make sure the eager to help
Noctowl will not try to ask once more. Oreki watched as Jiji
slightly struggled to get a fire going, of course he eventually got
it but it took longer than expected
We finally arrived at
the 4th town, though we had encountered some trouble with a group
of Sableye who seemed to have taken over the town. Thanks to those
Sableyes, Orkei had received an injury during all of the fighting.
It's been a few days since we left the 4th town. Orkei's injury has
almost fully healed but atleast he could fly again, we have about 2
more days until we reach the 5th town. Also I forgot to mention
since Orkei was able to fly again he found out the next town has a
few carpenters and repair pokemon that can fix our old cart. About
time too since it has been causing us a bit of trouble. Since we
weren't able to sell anything in the 4th town I hope the repairs
for our cart don't take too long.. it should take a couple of hours
but I want to be able to atleast sell a bit in the next town. Our
supplies are running slightly low as well, we would have restocked
if the inconvenience didn't happen. We should have enough food and
such until we get to the next town. It would be crucial to sell
some items in the 5th town so we also don't run low on
money
While many things are
going wrong these past few days, Orkei has done a fine job keeping
morale high. I'm still stressed by having to take care of so many
things (making sure we have enough food to last, managing our
finances, etc.) but Orkei has been a great help in relieving my
stress. I hope nothing else goes wrong on our trek to the next
town, but then again everything goes wrong when I hope that nothing
goes wrong.. I'll just not think of things going wrong so that way
things don't go wrong! It'll never work though.. despite my wishes
things will always be the opposite of what I want.. well with a few
good things here and there, anyway I think I've covered everything.

The duo arrived at the entrance of the 5th town "Finally..
after such a long time we made it.." Jiji said extremely exhausted
"At least we made it one day sooner than we thought! What should we
do first?" The Noctowl asked "It's best if we split up, that way we
can get things done more quickly. I'll buy supplies, you can take
the cart to any of the repair shops" The Mightyena instructed "Yes
sir!" The Noctowl said back. Jiji took their bag of money after
unstraping himself, Orkei then straped the cart to himself and
started walking to the public map. The two walked off to finish
their own duties, The Mightyena walked into a nearby grocery store
to stock up on some food. The money bag tied to his wrist to keep
it from being stolen "We definitely need more berries.. argh.. my
memory is getting away from me, how much exactly do we need?" Jiji
talked to himself as he usually does when getting supplies "I think
we need about two bags full.. or is it two and a half? Maybe three?
Hmm.. I should get two and a half as a good in-between.." Jiji
grabbed three bags (provided by the store) and filled them up with
berries, he packed them with his and Orkei's favorites. As Jiji
walked around the store more he spotted something in the corner of
his eye. The Mightyena stopped near the sweets section, he took a
glance at the cookies "...I suppose I should buy a box for Orkei..
since he has been doing a good job" The Mightyena hesitantly yet
quickly snatched a box of chocolate chip cookies and put them in
the half filled 3rd bag "I think I got everything I need here..
time to pay I guess" Jiji walked over to the counter and payed what
he needed to, though he complained under his breath on how much he
spent. The Mightyena walked out of the grocery store with 3 bags on
his back, 4 if you count the money bag still on his wrist "I think
that's all we need for now. I don't think we'll need any rope or
such from the general store.. I should wait for Orkei to come back
then" The Mightyena said walking off from the entrance of the
grocery store, going to pass a nearby ally way
As Jiji passed the ally way something caught his eye. It
was a slightly closed box that seemed to be in fine shape "Hmm.. I
think I should look at what's inside. My curiosity is getting the
better of me and there might be good items in it to sell" The
Mightyena walked up to the box and opened it stunned to see what
was inside. A pokemon egg was in the box along with a small cushion
to keep it safe and some rags at the bottom of the box "Oh no. Oh
no no no.. I'm not about to feed into the cliché that I will take
that egg in as my own! I just don't have time for it!" Jiji walked
off not wanting any part of the egg but he eventually came back to
it "Dang it conscience! I thought I turned you off years ago! Why
are you just now screaming at me to do the right thing!" The
Mightyena argued with himself for a while before Orkei arrived,
looking around to find Jiji only to find him sitting down in an
ally way "Jiji? What's going on? Why are you sitting there and--"
Orkei was interrupted when he saw the egg laying there in the box
"Now I see why.." The Noctowl commented "Are we going to take it
with us? Or are we gonna leave it..?" Orkei sadly said the last
part. He didn't want to leave the poor thing and to abandon it, but
he knew that Jiji wouldn't like the extra responsibility "Ugh.. we
might as well take it.. I may be heartless but I'm not so heartless
as to leave an egg defenseless and alone, but! We're only taking it
to find it's parents, it might be lost" Jiji said after his
internal battle with himself "Oh! Of course! I can't wait to find
this little one's parents!" The Noctowl happily said before he saw
something on the box "Hey Jiji look at this. There seems to be
something written on the box. It says... Ten.. to..? Oh! Tento!
That must be the eggs name!" Orkei said as he pointed to what was
written and read it "Are you sure that ain't the package number or
something? It is pretty smudged.. Anyway did you get the cart to a
repair shop? How long will the repairs take?" The Mightyena
questioned "I'm sure it's the name! Also about the cart... the
pokemon running the shop said it would take about 1 and a half days
to repair it all. Since it's so beat up and raggedy" Orkei said
hesitantly "Hold on days?! It's going to take days to fix
that thing?!" Jiji exclaimed as this threw his whole plan off the
rails "I know it's longer than we expected but.. to be honest the
cart is pretty old, I'm surprised it doesn't need to take longer to
be repaired" The Noctowl said trying to calm down the stressed
Mightyena "Well what about the items and such? Are they all ok?"
The Mightyena asked "Yeah they're all good, I also found a good
tent that we could buy so we could camp out and protect the items"
The Noctowl proposed "That sounds like a fine idea.. alright let's
get that tent now, also can you sleep with this egg? So it'll be
all warm" Jiji asked picking up the egg from the box "Sure thing!
Let's take a closer look at the egg once we set up camp!" The two
left the ally along with the egg
The two of us made it
to the 5th town after an exhausting trip. While there we found a
hopefully not abandoned and maybe lost egg. Orkei has been warming
up the egg while we try and find its parents, though so far we
found nothing. It would be a lot easier to find the parents if we
knew what pokemon would hatch out of the egg but... anyway while at
the 5th town Orkei took the cart to a repair shop. It's been a few
days since then so of course it's all fixed up now. The cart looks
brand new now and there ain't an annoying creak every time it hits
a bump. After a bit of inspection on the egg (also with a bit of
help in the library in town) we could tell that the egg was close
to hatching, about 3 days or so until it cracks. Since it's so
close to hatching we don't have much time to find the parents. Now
that I think about it the egg's parents could be in a different
town.. they could be in a town we haven't been to yet.. or they
could be in a town we have been.. Also since we have to watch over
the egg my selling times have to be shortened, and Orkei's scouts
need to happen after my selling time. This egg is giving me more
trouble than I thought..
While I keep wanting to
give up Orkei still manages to push me forward in doing 'the
greater good'. I can't really argue with him on that since I know
his reasonings are always right and pretty good reasons. Though
that won't stop me from complaining, I really just hope that we can
get this extra task finished soon. Also because of this egg we have
to stay in town for longer than I would like.. but I don't want to
leave it or take it with us. Worst case scenario.. well for
me that is, is that the egg hatches before we find the parents. The
hatched pokemon gets too attached to us and Orkei convinces me to
keep the hatched pokemon... and then I have one more.. permanent
responsibility. Let's hope we find the parents before then, I'll
write more when something else happens
