From the past years with Zeraora and Kyurem, at least in my experience, it takes roughly 30,000 to 50,000 interactions. (remember these are not guaranteed numbers)
I wish everybody a lot of luck with a Shiny one this year :)

I still feel like the odds should be easier, like a 10% chance for the first one within 25k interactions done, 30% if 50k, 50% if 75k (if you don't have a single one yet only!) or something like this, cause if you did a bunch of interactions without any visible result, I don't feel motivated personally

This, as well as personal experiences would say 'no'. It isn't like Aqua the harvest sprite, for example, it will stay in your userbar until you click on it. If your party is full, it won't disappear either. If it has for you, that's a bug
