“You really can’t be serious...” he grumbled, knowing that this would be impossible. He didn’t know a way to escape the situation alone, and with a bunch of kids and babies that could barely crawl? The idea was just insane.

Scarlett stays quiet but smiles politely. A new threat is added to the board. While she herself didn't know what her siblings were planning, she had a plan forming in her mind. The new threat must have been added because someone must have done something to make mother suspicious of their movement.
