Lukas sighed, as he lay back in his chair. Life had been boring
since the Top Hats were blown up by Henry and Charles. He had met
Henry a few months later, and he told the whole story. It was a
pretty interesting story.
Celia put away the top hat she wore during her time as a top hat.
Sure she had taken a tiny part in the mission to blow them up, but
that put a permanent mark in her reputation as a traitor and not
the one member that everyone respected. After the top hat was gone
she wondered what to do for months, before deciding that a lone
tophat won't do. Looking at the black and purple hat one last time,
she closed the box and labelled it 'Bad memory do not open.'
Lukas sighed, as he got up, and stretched. he hated this part.
Paperwork, boring things, but the fun part, the exhiliratingfeeling
of flying, soaring through the air, well... that? That made up for
it.
Lukas walked out of his tent, sighing. It was a beautiful day and
he was stuck in a tent doing paperwork. How wasteful. Lukas smiled
as he looked out into the distance. Beautiful. His phone chimed as
Henry sent him a message
- A message from Henry -
[Henry] Hey, Lukas! General says we have a new recruit. It's one of
our friends, Celia.
[Lukas] Alright, That's cool. The one who helped take down the
TopHats?
[Henry] Yeah. She's cool Charles said she's up for it. :)
A while later Celia was riding Charles helicopter to the government
base. This wasn't the first time she rode this helicopter, but
riding it for a second time felt different. Maybe because she
wasn't a tophat anymore, and officially this time.
Charles quickly connected his headset to speak to general galeforce
"General- we're arriving in about 10 minutes. Yup got her with me."
Henry and the general walked out of their tent, as Lukas joined
them. Lukas stepped back as the Helicopter landed, Hey there, Guys!
Welcome to the Military Base!"
The other government people noticed and arrived as well, talking
about who this new recruit could be
"I heard it was a former tophat member, a high ranked one too."
"Yeah! They literally betrayed the entire clan and boom, tophat no
more."
Charles hopped off the helicopter, followed by Celia.
Lukas grinned. New recruits. He loved introducing new recruits.
'Hm... Henry said she used to be a top hat. That's Great! a
baddie-turned-good.' He loved the thought. "Hey Charles, How are
you?" He asked.
Charles smiled at Lukas "doing great." He answered, before turning
to everyone else "I know you have questions, but they'll be
answered shortly. Government this is Celia. Celia, this is the
government."
The General nodded. "Hello Celia. Welcome to our base of
Operations. I think you'll quite like it here. Any enemy of the Top
Hats are a friend of ours." Lukas Grinned. "Nice to meet you Celia.
Henry an' Charles have told me and my friends here in the
government a lot about you. Very Pleased to finally meet you. Hope
you enjoy being in the government. it's not easy but it pays off."
Celia smiled upon the quick welcoming of the government, even from
the ones who questioned about her tophat history. Charles turned to
her and smiled "You're gonna love this place." He started. "Better
than the airship."
The General turned, and spoke to the government. "Now, All of you
may take your lunch break. Henry and Lukas, Go with Charles. Ellie
will come later today. Dismissed!"
Charles quickly joined his friends "Took months for General to
believe my story." He explained "it isn't normal for a tophat to
betray their entire clan. Or people tried but failed badly."
Lukas looked at Celia, and sighed once more. "The only thing we can
do is make sure that the Top Hats are gone is that we follow any
leads we can use. ... Do you know anything about the Top Hat's
Future plans?"
Celia tried to remember back to her tophat life. "I do remember
them talking about something something about space. But that was
before I was sent to the wall. And before the airship trouble."
