So I usually play on mobile nowadays and I just cannot catch any Pokémon whatsoever because it will not register when I press the pull button, even when I press it on the fish at the right time. I don’t really know how to fix it I just thought I should bring it up.

Hi dear! If you go to style settings and change your view to "Mobile view" fishing becomes a lot easier on mobile! Try that out and see if it works for you.
