Michon followed after her, gripping his notebook tightly with
shaking fingers. He let out a noise somewhere between a laugh and a
sob when he saw the tail. "W-what the heck i-is g-going on?"
"Just wondering if you have anything for my friends?"
She looked up at them, seemingly unbothered, and passing Amaya a
basket full of treats and pastries. She then went back under the
counter, taking out a jar of lemonade and a stack of plastic
cups.
"So, if you're gonna tell them about what's happened, go ahead. I'm
not stopping ya."
Michon mentally (and maybe a little psychically) slapped himself.
He had come to show he wasn't afraid anymore! But his stupid
stutter, and his actions were saying otherwise. So, he took a deep
breath. He couldn't control his stutter, but he could at least
control his fear. "So, erm, w-what happened?"
Aki gasped before she immediately took out her notebook. Maybe she
could get some ideas for a story? She immediately opened her
notebook and took out a pencil before she looked at the lady. "From
the beginning, if it's not a hassle, please." She hummed before
adding. "Apologies, if what I'm doing seems rude to you."
"Life is short, my darling. So, live it to the fullest
while you can, lest you end up with regrets."
Michon took a seat. "Yeah, you could start with the problem. Why do
you need help?" His own fingers twitched as he reached for the
notebook on his lap.
"Well. It all started about a week ago. The queen, my mother, and
two of her children, my older brothers, dissapeared without a
trace. But I found one thing."
She took out a glittery, white feather, placing it onto the
table.
"The angels are our biggest enemies. But I dunno how they could be
behind this. They can't come back."
Aki's eyes widened a little. "That's a major plot twist. But, did
they have any sort of reason to start the war?" Her fingers were
trembling in excitement. This was just so exciting!
"Life is short, my darling. So, live it to the fullest
while you can, lest you end up with regrets."
Aki hummed. "Only that? I feel there must be more. Starting a war
simply for power sounds a little overkill, unless we're talking
about 'can rule over the world' kind of power." She scribbled a few
words in her notebook, before looking up again.
"Life is short, my darling. So, live it to the fullest
while you can, lest you end up with regrets."
