"Alright!" Xaiver snatched the plate and took off. But the only way
out..was the enterance where evreyone else was standing. Xaiver's
eyes glowed black as long black strands snaked out torwads them.
Inprision.
Kate made herself disappear before following, making herself
reappear behind the group, outside of Xavier's attack range.
Perhaps she could be distracting enough without seeming
suspicious...but how?
Though the telepathic link the group still shared, though she could
sense it weakening, the Lugia was able to perceive that tension was
beginning to build in the cave below. She flew up higher, preparing
herself for whatever came next.
The Black strands snaked nearer, but Mystin cut them back with
Psycho Cut. "C'mon, get the slab! I can hold back the Imprision
until it fades, but he can't leave."
Xaiver grunted as he hit the ground, still keeping a firm grip on
the slab. A large metal wing apeared behind him, cutting through
the air and heading straight for Riko.
Riko, being a fairy/steel type, would only take neutral damage, but
she let herself underestimate the dragon's power. Her body was
slammed into the wall, causing rocks to crumble around her. There
was a sizable crater in the rock where she'd impacted it.
Kate had her attack ready. She waited for the right moment...
"Xavier is...getting away!" She struggled to her feet. One attack
wasn't going to knock her out. No way! "After him!" Briefly shaking
dust off her shoulders, she ran after the dragon Pokemon, charging
an attack.
Kate followed, slowly, her attack still at the ready.
Seeing the side of the mountain distend in one section, Tidal
darted down beside it and heard Mystin's question to Riko. Through
a crack along the rock that had formed, she called softly enough
that Xavier wouldn't be able to hear but Mystin would, "This is
Tidal. I'm standing just outside here. Don't respond or else Zekrom
might hear you, but if he manages to escape from that cavern though
the wall, I'm waiting for him."
Mystin nodded ever so slightly. But still, he ran forward. "You're
not getting away with that tablet!" He formed another sword, this
one of wind. "Air Slash!" The sword's cut slammed the retreating
Xaiver to the ground. "Grab it! Now!"
Kate grabbed for the plate. "Got it!" She called cheerfully,
smiling. "Remember me?" She panted a bit, as if she'd been running.
She powered down her attack, she energy still inside her, but she
realized she wouldn't have to move just yet
"Now get him out of here!" Kate hugged the plate to her chest.
"I'll hold on to this." She gave Xavier a look, hoping he'd have
the sense to hang back so she could slip it to him. She felt the
pressure, holding the plate, hoping she wouldn't be discovered....
Tidal could sense that the other legendaries were moving away from
the center, but a sense of premonition told her to continue her
surveillance of the mountain. As a flock of Pidgey, Pidgeotto, and
Pidgeot flew by, she signaled to them and telepathically asked them
to help her.
