Rushelle nearly nodded her head off before remembering that she should figure out if Emerald was done or not. Plus, she had a feeling that she had seen all that she needed to see.

“Ah right!” Emerald put down his book. “Yeah, it wasn’t that busy today. For some reason...it was fairly quiet today.” Emerald sighed. “Then again, it is the time of year people go onto the neighbouring island...”

He nuzzled her. “There’s a lot of unexplainable things that happen in life sometimes. It’s just how it is...” He brought her into their room so she could get more comfortable instead of standing at the door looking confused. He figured she might’ve had had a long day
