I started to grow some berries and have a few hundred cheri and chesto berries. i would like give these to pokemon to train them, but it looks like i can only give berries bought from the shop. am i missing something?

Berries grown in the Garden can only be used in the Garden.

You can also sell them on tasks for the bulletin board. Sometimes you can get gems from there
