i have been breeding for a mega spring ampharos with no luck im breeding a spring ampharos with a mega-able ampharos am i doing it wrong i've gotten both normal and event mareep but never a mega one

You're technically doing it "wrong", but you can still get mega able spring mareep/ampharos with this pairing.

You don't need to breed with a mega able to get a mega able, two non-mega able spring mareep/flaaffy/ampharos will give you more spring eggs, which will increase the chance of one hatching with a mega bubble.
