Welcome to Rioverde! Another island that appeared after Luminia. Those who live in the skies don’t get the experience of living a tropical life, and as such, this life provides that life to those who wants it!
Life in Luminia is like living in a fairytale. Life in Rioverde is life in the wild… There are much fewer high buildings here. If your home is high up, then it’s likely that your home was built in a tree. Most houses here are either small homes in the trees, or bungalows near the ground. Even pokemon who don’t fly might have homes in the trees to truly encapsulate the life of freedom. Free in the skies where no one can bring you down
The saying here is as goes. “Come with me, wake up, it’s time to take to the skies.” This phrase was created…as everyone would burst into dance and song. ‘Samba’ more specifically, after all. If the music doesn’t at least make you want to start moving, what’s wrong with you? That’s the opinion of the locals at least. But the music really is energetic, full of drums and voice.
Visitors come here to enjoy a tropical retreat. Either to relax on the beaches or to do all sorts of watersports. And, of course…there is no forgetting the greatest festival of the resort; Carnaval.
Everyone meets up once a year completely dressed up, and they dance their hearts out. From natural performances on vines, to circus acts with circus equipment. The public are often invited to perform with the professionals! It’s a lot of fun!
How do you get here from Luminia? Well now, you take to the skies! Yes, even those who can’t fly. No, I’m not joking. There are large stars that are powered up and launch you into a specific stream of air so you can fly to Rioverde! You pay the fare to power it up, jump into the stars and off you fly! Safety concerns are a non-issue as while in flight, you are being guided along by the wind. And there are experienced flyers who will guide you one group at a time.
No matter who you may be, no matter where you are from, surely anybody can get down and dance right? After all, magic can happen for real here. In Rioverde.
Important Characters
Nico - Soul of Carnaval – Shiny Rufflet: This outgoing bird is the life of the party, wearing a small tambourine on his head with pride. He loves Carnaval, and while not a professional dancer, he definitely knows his way around the dance floor. He is often seen hosting local parties outside of Carnaval, for everyone to enjoy the festivities all year long. As such, he is very popular to everyone, from the younger audiences who loves to party, and the elder who proudly withhold tradition and would love to have any chance of practicing their culture. He is very passionate about samba, to the point he can get upset at those who outright claim to dislike it, sometimes bursting into tears. To him, everything is real, and samba really brings everything to life.
The fittingly named Honeycomb Resort is the main resort of the region, where most people stay for their beach vacation. Served by a force of over 1000 staff members, ranging from pool staff to cleaners, from beach lifeguards to entertainers, they are all here to make your dream holiday, providing 5 star experience across the board, no matter how high of a price you paid for your room here, be it the most luxurious room in the hotel or a normal family room.
Every staff member is paid fairly here, no matter the position. The holiday leaves and facilities they have access to are also very impressive and well sought out for too...
This location is the prime location for a relatively normal beach holiday…well, it is one of the only choices but it serves its purpose well. After all, the owner and its staff are all motivated to find new and vary its entertainment and other services throughout the year.
Having the prime beaches, with pure, almost white sands, and a blue and turquoise ocean, with perfect waves, towards the eastern part of the beach for watersports. Towards the western side, it was almost like a natural wild beach…untouched. It is kept that way by the laborious staff who worked at the hotel, to upkeep the natural beauty of that area.
And throughout the centre of the beach…theme attractions, food stalls…all sorts of things can be found for your enjoyment. And that’s not mentioning the theme park and water park near the hotel. Everything, everyone who works here…works for your enjoyment.
The theme park can be found towards the left of the resort, and is likely the first thing you will see when you leave the airport. Rollercoasters of every calibre imaginable, haunted houses, souvenir stores, everything! There is a ride for everyone to enjoy, from those who prefer tame rides or the thrillseekers!
The same can be said for the water park to the right of the resort! Slides to lazy rivers, wave pools and more! All of this is integrated as part of the resort, a true place for a traditional holiday, that is all inclusive and still affordable!
Important Characters
Guilherme – Resort Tycoon – Aggron – The owner of the hotel, with the sole purpose of creating a prime destination for holidaymakers of Luminia and the neighbouring islands. Money was always on his mind but it wasn’t his prime focus. His prime focus? The satisfaction of the masses, the smiling faces of everyone who comes to enjoy Rioverde. He promotes his resort to all islands. It’s said that many competitors tried to create their own resort to compete, however, Guilherme’s compassion to his workers and his sights on improving the experience of holidays for the masses won so many over to work for him. Even now, that has never changed. He knows that the workers he has hired are irreplaceable, while bosses, including himself are. And that is a philosophy he drills into every worker and boss who works for him.

Out of the resort, into the foliage. There are paths to follow even if they aren’t obvious. Welcome to Corcavados Jungle! The forest of the wild and free… There isn’t much to do with technology out here. If visitors prefer to have more of a wild vacation, here it is! No designated houses. No people to prepare food every day. No room service. No shops. It’s all wild out here.
Of course, there’s a great community out here. Everyone looks after each other in the jungle, keeping the harmony and everyone safe. Your natural alarm clock is the bird pokemon bursting into song every morning. The typical morning routine is for everyone to burst into song and dance before breakfast. Oh, did I also mention that there is no way of keeping time out here other then the sky? I shouldn’t have to. It’s obvious, though perhaps you would have guessed that already…
Well there shouldn’t be a problem living out here solo. The community works together to maintain the wildlife around them. Including all the berry trees, ensuring the rivers are clean, and that there is safe drinking water wherever you go.
When you come here…there is a good chance you will be assailed—ahem, you will be greeted by some natives! They’ll help you around if needed, and they’ll even help you with some hand-crafted items they use to get around. The low number of visitors that choose this option helps them more then hinders them.
Now what will happen should you choose to not help the locals with the upkeep? Well. You won’t be chased out. Nor will you be attacked, but don’t expect the locals to come to you to help you. They’re treat you with indifference rather then warmth. But that’s understandable right? Wouldn’t it be nicer to help and pitch in? It’s quite an experience, being able to live completely wild. Besides, helping and making sure you don’t leave a mess behind ensures the enjoyment for others too. It’s an experience worth living, learning more of the past ways of upkeeping land, ensuring the culture is not lost.
Disrespecting the locals and/or attacking them? Well…you’re bringing this upon yourself. As mentioned numerous times, the locals of this jungle are one united community…as such, they are one united force to be reckoned with. Bringing down the wrath of the numerous pokemon here is no joke, and will most likely ruin your vacation, with injuries and being barred from the jungle as you will be attacked on sight. Word does travel fast in such a tight knit community.
But treat them as they do with you, with kindness, patience and understanding and you’ll be accepted with open arms, even treating you as family, ensuring your stay will be as pleasant and easy as can be. It’s a shame that not many tend to get to experience this.
Day visitors don’t usually get preferential treatment unlike the longer stay visitors. But still, the locals will be cordial with you, and are kind to all. You should still make sure you don’t damage things though – it’s said that they could be less forgiving with day visitors.
There is something much deeper in the jungle though…only in times of emergency or if you gain the complete trust of the locals… there is another place deeper in the jungle. Somewhere much more secluded…
Don’t try to fake trust. They know your intentions. There are pokemon who are trained to detect when someone has ulterior motives.
That said…who knows what could be inside?
Important People
??? - ??? – Shaman of Valour – There is the chief of the pokemon living in the jungle. It is unknown what kind of pokemon they are, or even their name to save all but the locals. There have only been a few outsiders to gain the trust of the Shaman…and as such are aware of the existence of the place deeper within the forest.
The Shaman trusts people known with the following titles. Though locals are told not to disclose the titles unless they are sure they have the trust of the ones wanting to see them and the secret location.
Lord of the Heavens – This is the most obvious one as to who it could be…but it’s likely you wouldn’t be able to talk to them anyway. Not casually.
Azure Sage – This person is known as a ‘Sage’ in Luminia. He is known for being knowledgeable and worldly. They have met the Shaman once before, and brought to the locals a cure for a common disease that had plagued them. He is an adventurer at heart.
Nature’s Delight – This one was originally a local of Rioverde but had moved to Luminia, after swearing secrecy. They are very well versed in various berries and strives improve herself in the craft of the culinary arts.
