He tries to telepathically communicate with his father, but all the electrical signals nearby interrupted his concentration and caused him a lot of pain. He stifled his yells and hung on to the tree so that he was not noticed*

*Draco smells the strong smell of blood and that, combined with the electric signals was too much for him. His body went numb and he transformed fully into a small dragon, collapsed, and fell out of the tree*
