Some things you must see before reading
Prologue
Somewhere in the universe, among many galaxies, a star glowing brightly was beginning to fade. As it slowly faded away, a certain nebula pokemon emerged out of it.
Cosmog, the nebula pokemon, was flying among the stars, unaware of the dangers in the universe it would have to face. Dangers it would have never deserved to face.
A comet shooting by caught the cosmog's eye. It looked up, amazed by the trail of stardust it left behind as it soared through the area of space it was in.
It didn't realize until too late...
Suddenly, the stars went by so quickly. The innocent, little cosmog was soaring through the galaxy at an extreme speed. It suddenly felt dizzy...
The world gradually turned black...
The cosmog was so confused and scared, where would the comet lead to?
While it was still under the starlight, it had heard of a distant place named Alola.
Would it land there?
Meanwhile, a trainer from Kanto named Sky was making her way to Alola, riding on her blastoise.
What great adventures she would have once she got to Alola.
End of Prologue
Sky felt her blastoise slowing down, and before she knew it, she saw land up ahead, along with the beautiful region of Alola. She couldn't wait to catch alolan pokemon she couldn't see in Kanto.
Sky settled into the house set up for her, then went to the tall grass, finding no alolan pokemon. When she was done, she decided to go meet some of her neighbors despite her shy nature.
Amber was the first trainer she met when Sky took a walk down the street.
"Hi, you must be Sky, the new trainer." said Amber. The ninetails by her side looked up at Sky.
"Um...yes, I am."
"That's great, I always love it when new trainers come! Let me give you a tour of this wonderful region."
Sky was lead to all sorts of tall grass areas ,places to eat, item shops, and more. Amber even bought her a hot dog to eat for dinner.
As they were walking down the street back to their homes, Sky noticed a trainer Amber never talked about yet.
"Hey, um.. Amber? Who's that trainer... the one with that umbreon?" Sky said quietly. She pointed over to a trainer who looked serious all the time, and had an umbreon with him.
"Oh, him? He's a jerk you don't want to know about," said Amber.
"Well, okay"
Sky walked back to her house, happy with the small tour and new friend. It was night, she should go to sleep now. Sky let out her pokemon so they wouldn't be uncomfortable in their pokeballs. Sky tucked in, feeling happy about her first day in a new region.
As she was about to sleep, she heard a huge crash behind her house. That woke her up. Good thing all her pokemon were asleep. Sky slowly crept out of bed, carefully passing by her espeon's long tail.
Sky peeked over to the back of her new house.
A few huge comet pieces were laying among the grass behind her house, along with a worried-looking rayquaza looking over at the middle of the comet pieces. Sky looked over to see a badly wounded, trembling cosmog. It looked up at her and the rayquaza.
Sky thought she was dreaming, that she had never gone to Alola. It would be impossible to encounter two legendaries together. Sky looked at the cosmog, seeing it was badly wounded. Sky used the emergency cast she had in her pocket and wrapped it around the cosmog. Then she looked at the cosmog. It was still trembling, but seemed a little less scared. Sky noticed that the rayquaza became slightly relieved.
Sky told the rayquaza, "Don't worry so much about the cosmog, I can take care of it and level it up to be a strong pokemon."
The rayquaza looked at Sky. It seemed to want to tell her a message.
You are a kind-hearted trainer. Only the kindest ones would have heard the crash and came over trying to help. For a reward I shall help you whenever you need it.
It then flew away.
Sky asked the cosmog, "Do you have a name?"
The cosmog just trembled.
"No? Let's find you a name then."
After thinking about it for a while, Sky looked back at the cosmog, who stopped trembling. She smiled.
"Your name is Nebby,"
End of Chapter 1
The next day, Sky noticed that Nebby was still asleep on the edge of her pillow. Nebby was in a deep sleep, so Sky decided to use one of the three master balls she had. With a master ball in her hand, Sky tapped Nebby with it, who was caught in the ball. Then she got her team pokemon into their balls, put them in her bag, and headed on outside to go catch some alolan pokemon.
When she stepped outside, she saw a bunch of trainers gazing at the broken comet behind her house, one of them being Amber.
"Hey Sky, what hapened?" Amber asked.
"I don't know, I think I was asleep," Sky lied.
"Strange, a comet out of nowhere,"
Sky decided to change the subject.
"Hey, do you want to go catch some pokemon?" Sky asked to Amber. "I'm looking for alolan pokemon, mainly vulpix."
"Sure! I'll take you there."
Sky then went to the tall grass area with Amber, the place with the most alolan pokemon. Sky looked around for an alolan vulpix while Amber was trying to catch a slowpoke in the grass. After about fifteen minutes of searching, Sky decided to give up in this area, when she saw thee tips of two white tails in the spot in front of her.
Amber noticed them too. She said, "Now's your chance! Go catch it."
Sky took out a great ball and threw it at the alolan vulpix. It missed by an inch.
"Come on." She then took out another great ball and threw it. This time, it was caught.
"Good job! Great pokemon to have for a new start here in Alola,"
Sky smiled. She couldn't wait to level it up, and hopefully get an ice stone.
Amber was kind of busy in the afternoon, so that was when they parted from each other. Sky made her way back to her home and got Nebby out of its ball. The comet was gone, there were only ashes.
"Hi Nebby, it's me, Sky. Don't tremble again, no one's watching. I'm going to give you something you will need to become strong.."
Nebby looked around and was relieved.
Sky looked through her bag with Nebby watching her. She remembered she had a spare EXP share as a gift from a friend back in Kanto. She gave it to Nebby.
"Here," said Sky. "It should help you level up and become stronger."
It felt kind of weird for a second, but Nebby soon smiled at the thought of "getting stronger".
Sky felt as if her relationship with Nebby was slowly getting better.
She still couldn't really believe that happened on the first night here in Alola.
Nebby kept staring the window of Sky's house, gazing up at the dark sky, brightened with many stars and a full moon.
It kept the EXP Share given closely to itself, trying to get comfortable with all the cast on it's cloud puffs.
Part of the cast was beginning to fall off.
Chapter Three: Discovered
Sky woke up, thinking today was going to be a day to train up Nebby.
She told Amber she was slightly busy today, and went out in the tall grass.
The area she went to seemed to be full of pokemon, she seemed to find one about two minutes after fainting the last one. Sky's blastoise and gardevoir seemed to faint the pikipek population in this area after two hours.
Sky checked back to see Nebby's level and realized it had only rose to ten, after the many battles that were fought.
She decided to take a break and heal up her pokemon at the pokemon center.
After taking a short break and fully healing her pokemon and restoring all power points, a trainer named Aqua, who was apparently also in the tall grass where she was, challenged her.
"Hi, you're Sky, right? The new trainer? I saw you in the tall grass today, your pokemon are pretty strong. I challenge you to a 1v1 battle. If you win, I'll give you five rare candy."
Five rare candy? Just what she needed for Nebby.
"Alright, challenge accepted,"
Sky brought out her gardevoir, while Aqua broght out her primerina.
"Primerina, use hydro pump!"
"Gardevoir, use Shadow Ball!"
The shadow ball missed by an inch, and the hydro pump hit hard. Gardevoir lost a little less than half of her EXP.
"Gardevoir, use confusion!"
It hit, and Primerina became paralyzed with 2/3 of its HP left.
With that luck, Sky was able to pull off another move.
"Gardevoir, use Psychic!"
It hit, and Primerina fainted.
Sky ended up receiving the rare candy from Aqua, and put them in her item bag. She started making her way back home after buying a hot dog.
She came home to see that the masterball with Nebby was gone, but didn't realize that until Nebby was eating the last rare candy Sky had in her bag.
"Did you have to teleport here? Are things and people outside scary for you?"
Nebby nodded, its cast falling off.
"Your cast is falling off? Let me fix it for y-wait, you seem all better already!" Sky took off all of the cast around Nebby.
All of Nebby's scars and wounds were now gone.
"Well, I guess you heal up rather quickly. I hope you liked the rare candy."
Nebby floated up and down rather happily.
Meanwhile, the trainer who Amber described as a "jerk you don't want to to know about", Crimson, was taking a short walk among the tall grass with his umbreon. He rarely did this, but he felt like doing so today.
When he was heading back, Crimson was about to go into his house and eat dinner when he noticed something blue and purple in Sky's window.
She was interacting with a cosmog, floating up and down as she was removing its cast. It then floated up and down once more.
Crimson kept watching for about a minute before heading back to his house.
When he went home, he thought to himself, 'Cosmog? To the new trainer? H-how could that be though...?'
End of Chapter Three
Crimson decided to keep an eye on Sky's pokeballs, seeing if one of them would be a cosmog.
None of the balls she held were worthy of having a cosmog in it, until one day, Crimson saw Sky holding a master ball along with her other balls.
Crimson then walked away while Sky was talking with Amber.
Amber thought she saw a purple ball in Sky's hand.
"But it's not like pokemon can't be caught without master balls," Amber thought.
"Uh, Sky...? What pokemon did you have to use a master ball for?"
"N-nothing, just keeping it just in case,"
This made Amber slightly suspicious. Sky would have put it in her bag then.
As the day went by, Amber grew more concerned about that master ball in Sky's hands.
It became evening, and they decided to go to Joe's hotdog stand.
As Sky was ordering, she had dropped something-
Her master ball.
It quickly fell out into the road, causing the pokemon in it to be let out.
The glowing shape of a cloud began to appear, slowly dissolving into..
a cosmog?!
Everyone near Sky stared at the little cosmog now trembling and holding onto Sky's ankle.
Crimson looked over to see what everyone was looking at, then saw Nebby.
He thought to himself, 'Yes, I knew it. That cosmog was in that masterball,'
Sky didn't know what to do.
