Raihan has two pokemon left: sandaconda (who is currently out) and duraludon (his gigantimax pokemon) sam has only Articuno and feraligatr left. he sends out feraligatr

sam: feraligatr, use Hydro cannon!

hydro cannon does a lot of damage and knocks out sandaconda

sandstorm damages his feraligatr and it faints. Raihan sends out Duraludon and Sam sends out his Articuno.

Raihan: duraludon, Gigantiamax!

duraludon gigantimaxes, and sam doesn't dynamax

Sam: Articuno, use Sheer Cold!

it misses

(he only uses double battles in the gym)

duraludon uses max wyrmwind, doing a little damage to Articuno.

Sam: ugh. articuno, use it again! sheer cold!

it misses again

Raihan: foolish! duraludon, g-max steelsurge!

Steelsurge does a lot of damage, but articuno hangs on with a little hp left

Sam: Articuno, last time... SHEER COLD!

this time, it hits, and duraludon is one-hit KO'D

(no. sheer cold is a one-hit KO move, but it only has 30% accuracy, and it fails if the taret pokemon's level is higher than the attacker's)

Sam: t-that was close... too close. I-I was counting on sheer cold to hit...

(sheer cold is a one-hit KO move, no matter the ability or stat changes of the opponent pokemon)

Greninja uses Hydro Cannon

Both Chesnaught and Cinderace look like they're down, but they come back up.
