the creators of pokémon actually talking about that. they confirmed there were separate animals from pokemon. that’s why they’re called “mouse pokemon”, and other animal pokemon. they just aren’t shown.

Well, considering some pokedex entries say so (Farfetch'd and Slowpoke), then

yes, humans eat pokemon.

some pokemon are eaten, yes, but most of the food in pokemon and such are regular animals

On the same page it also states that "animals" have gone extinct it the pokemon world and that the addition of animals was an animation oversight.

considering they've appeared over multiple parts of the pokemon media and not just the anime, and theres no actual articles or anything on shudo saying that. in the games, manga, books, and anime, its most definitely not just some "mistake".
