i propose that we have a way of locking our forums we post so others cant post in them when we dont want them to while we can still post if we need to this would work well with shop owners who temporarily close shops it would signal to some people who dont notice that its closed that its actually close and also for journals if you really didnt want someone to comment in a journal or diary

I support this like what if you have a rp sign up and you closed it off you wouldnt want people to post on it and it’s more of a back up plan in case people keep posting so you won’t waste your time I also would like it if you could lock certain people like if they got banned from your thread

I do support, but why do you think they made forum locking for mods only? If someone makes a controversial thread, and it starts to get out of hand, the owner could lock it and it could lead to more drama. Maybe it could only be on the GTS and RP section of the forums, but anywhere else would be most likely a bad idea

I can see that actually but then as you say mods do have the ability to lock it themselves i mean if they didnt have a marker to mark it to say who locked it whose to say it wasnt the mods who locked it i forgot that some people on here thrive on drama

i support, definitely. it would cause LESS drama, in my opinion, and since we can’t delete our own threads and have to report a post to get it deleted or locked, maybe the members should be able to lock their own threads. at least there’d be less reports, right?
