Ash ran into the burning building. "No!" Serena yelled after him. Ash turned around, expressions unreadable. "Charizard." He said, "Now." The doorframe broke and stone fell as Ash ran in. "Give up, Ketchum." Giovanni hissed. "You'll never beat me." Ash snarled. "I'LL NEVER GIVE UP GIOVA-" and then he was cut off by the building exploding.

A man was lying in the snow near the summit of MT. Lanakila. Hau sent out his Decidueye to carry him and together, they climbed down to the bottom and flew to Melemele.
