Brimstone's eyes widened when they finished telling her the story. Her eyes filled with tears even though she didn't know Protector very well. She was devastated by what had happened.

Brimstone walked over to Protector's grave. She laid her talons on it and murmured something that couldn't be made out by anyone but herself. Tears ran down her snout.

Shine watched Brimstone at the grave, tears welling in her own eyes. Aurora was staring into the distance, her stare glazed, as if she wasn’t actually seeing anything. Maybe the Animus spells she’d cast had been too much for her.

Shadowslayer woke up to feel Doomhunter’s wing over her. Turning around, she saw him lying on an awkward angle, his wings and legs everywhere, and the sound of his deep, rumbling snoring echoing through the cave. A smile spread over her snout. But thoughts of gory vengeance chased away the gentleness, and she shook him awake roughly. “Wake up! It’s dawn- we need to get going if we’re going to get revenge,” she growled.

Doomhunter opened his eyes and stretched. "Alright, where do we try first?" He asked.

Brimstone turned and looked at Shine and Aurora. "Now what? We need to save Pine but I'm not sure how..."

Taken aback, Shadowslayer frowned. She hadn’t gotten to that part of the plan yet. “Hmmm...” she mused, “How about we go back to *insert wherever they were before she went off, I don’t remember*?”

Aurora’s eyes unmisted, and she turned to look at Brimstone. “We’re going to the Ice Kingdom, to save Blizzard.”
“And Pine,” Shine added, but Aurora showed no recognition of the name.

Doomhunter thought for a moment. "They probably are going to try to save their friend... Which means they would have to go to the Ice Kingdom..."

Brimstone was concerned for Aurora. She didn't seem to be acting... Right. "I can't go into the Ice Kingdom... I'm not part Icewing..."

Aurora ducked her head, and muttered quietly, “well I could ench...” Her voice faded before she finished the sentence.

Shadowslayer’s eyes lit up. “Of course! But would we be able to get inside?”

Pine wanted to help Brimstone in any way possible. She would tell Brimstone about her powers next time they met.
