"The following Pokémon in your Party seem to be too exhausted for this Quest: Regirock"

For context:
I am trying to complete the Regigigas quest, I am doing exactly as the braille states.
I have my Regirock Rumble. I thought it might be because it was rumbling, so I took it off.
However that was yesterday, and I am still unable to do the quest.

Could someone please advise?

If it says it's too exhausted it means it's already been used for the Quest before [by yourself or another user], so you'll need to obtain/hatch a Regirock that hasn't been used for it before in order to get a Regigigas.

Oh man.. I traded my original one off to someone else, before I realised I could only get one, so I bought the one I have through auction. I didn't think it would matter..

Is there any way to get a fresh one? Maybe with the Legend radar chip?

You can actually get any of the normal Regis through the Endless Path. If you have an empty space in your party, every 50th Question has a chance of giving you a Regi egg. Every 1000th question gives you a guaranteed shiny of a random Regi [egg]
