Garchomp looked around the city. He saw people go inside buildings, then leave. He didn’t see anything outside the border, so that was good.

Mira, being a lazy Pokémon, stayed in bed. She didn’t usually wake up until later, but she sometimes got up to roam around before other Pokémon came out.

Garchomp saw the door open and watched carefully. Luckily, he saw nothing during the night. He made a gentle sound, signaling it was safe.

Mira woke up to the sound. “Wha...” she said groggily.
