“How’s are they doing?” Angel asked as she walked up behind her two workers. “They are just about to wake.” The one on her left reported.
Thorn
Thorn woke up to the sun beating down on him. He could feel the grass beneath his back. There were trees almost scattered around. He sat up to fast giving him a headache. “What... were?” He’d asked. Where was he? Who was he? And what is this place? He noticed that there was walls surrounding the entire area. There was a lake with a water far in the far right corner, and denser trees right next to and a small open area in the middle. And there was clouds in the sky. “Hello?” He shouted. Who am I?
The shout was the first thing she had heard, before the rustling of the breezes through the grass and the branches. Where was she, who shouted and some many questions that she couldn’t figure out. “Who am I?” She mumbled as she stared into the sky. “Where’s the sun?” She asked herself. Enough lying around. I need to find that person. Claire slowly stood up. “Hey! Where are you!” She shouted back
“Hey! Where are you” from a female sounded faint but Thorn instantly got up. He turned around to see if he could spot her. “Where are you?” He shouted as loudly as he could moving in the direction he thought the shout came from.
She raced forward hearing the shout. She curved a tree, “Where?” She returned, still running aimlessly through the trees.
“Good. Keep me updated on their processes.” Angel said whipping around as she walked away from the room. I will succeed where my mother failed Angel stated to herself. She went back to her office to write a paper work.
Thorn
Turning a tree a hit something as he felled to the ground. “Hey wa-“ he stopped, looking at the girl who ran into him. “Are you okay?” He asked as he sat in the grass.
“Oof.” Claire said as she landed on the ground. She had ran into something or someone. She gripped her head. The question ”Are you Okay?” was asked. “Yes, I’m fine. What about you?” She asked him, now seeing who she ran into.
“I’m good.... So you know where we are or what this place is?” Thorn asked the girl who looks to be about his age. He got up so that he can help her up. “Here.” He said softly holding out his hand.
She too looked around noticing the big tall walls that where covered in vines and moss. “Looks like we are in a box of some sort.” Claire said. “May I ask for your name? I mean if you remembered, because I don’t remember mine.”
“Sorry. I don’t remember my name. Just call me Thorn for now. I have a feeling that word has something to do to with my real name. I just don’t remember it. Strange I don’t remember my family friends or anything about my past.” Thorn said, he gripped his fist. “What are we even doing in here?”
“I think mine is Claire.” Claire slightly remembered. But It was not there. “Come on. There could be answers here, and we are just standing here like dummies.” Claire nudged him. Why did she feel so friendly and happy with him. This doesn’t make any sense. She didn’t even know Thorn. Or did she?
He nodded agreeing with Claire. The nudge felt awfully familiar. What was it about her? “Maybe there could be more people here. Let’s check out the middle first.” He said.
“Okay.” Claire nodded as she started walking to the clear patch of meadow. There was definitely something different about the area.
He walked beside her as they looked around. The square was very large, birds or what he thought were to be flew in the sky, breezes swept the area some how and they had plentiful of water from the unknown source. He didn’t know if there were animals even in here. “Look there is something in the middle!” He pointed to a small thin post.
He shrugged it could be a possibility, but how would they stray away from the middle and ended up in the forest. “Look it’s a hatch.” He said walking up to the metal like doors on the ground. Thorn knocked on it. “Hello? Anyone in there?” He shouted.
He looked up to see what Claire was talking about. He followed her pointed finger. There was a visible split between the walls in the middle. All of the sudden a loud belling sound came from somewhere, the ground shook as the walls started to part away from each. Thorn looked around to see if the others will do the same.
The sound had stopped and so did the walls stopped moving. “That’s new... do you know what time it is?” He asked not to Anyone generally. He looked up at the sky, there was still no sun. But it had eventually become lighter with every passing minute.
