Title: The Story Of Saturn, Chapter 1

60 years before the current events of "The Kingdoms".

Saturn was nervous, to say the least, his first day to begin advancing into the society that his parents kept talking about. Saturn was a shiny eevee born to rich parents, though he was hardly spoiled. His whole life was formal and planned out. He was given the name 'Saturn' as he was supposed to evolve into a umbreon. Though he hardly ever made his own choices, Saturn couldn't help but feel his whole life would change in daycare, here his parents couldn't constantly criticize him, here he could make friends, memories. Here his whole life would change, hopefully for the better.

As he walked inside the daycare he immediately saw heads turn his way. "Oh, if it isn't the new kid! Come over here." A voice called. Saturn turned to see a espeon with a welcoming expression staring his way. Next to her stood a shiny eevee, like himself. Saturn walked over. Don't blow this, this is your first chance of making friends. he thought. 'Hello." he said to the espeon. "Welcome. I hope you enjoy your time here. My name is Emily, and I run this daycare with my mate, he's working in the lunchroom, you'll meet him later. Oh, and this is my son, Eli, I'm sure he wouldn't mind new friends." She flicked her split tail towards the eevee. "This is his first day as daycare helper. Right Dear? Go on, introduce yourself." She nudged him forward. "H-hi, my name is Eli and um...nice to meet you..." He stammered. "Hi my name's Saturn. Said Saturn. 'Nice to meet you too." he smiled in a friendly way towards Eli, and Eli smiled back. Saturn had made his first friend on his first day, what a treat!

Title: The Story of Saturn, Chapter 2

"So, um...follow me, I guess. I'll show you around." Said Eli, sounding nervous. Saturn could tell he was trying to be brave, and admired his confidence, however slight, in front of a stranger. "Sure thing!" Saturn said cheerfully, trying to make himself come across as a nice person, a good friend to make. He certainly didn't want this poor eevee to feel nervous around him, he didn't want anyone to feel nervous around him! He followed Eli as he entered the first room, the schoolroom.
"So, this is where you'll do school stuff." Eli informed him. Inside the room, there was a green chalkboard in the front-center of the room. With a classic teacher desk on the far left, closest to the door to the playroom. In a neat line, there were rows of pillows for young freemon to sit, with blocks elevated from the ground just enough to conveniently read books and write. From the looks of it, these blocks looked customizable, able to change depending on the student seated there.
"Cool." Said Saturn after getting a good look. Admittedly, Saturn wasn't the most optimistic about the whole 'school' thing, it reminded him of how his parents constantly told him how things must be done. But luckily, he had a bit to wait before worrying about schooling.
Eli beaconed with his tail and led him out into the second room, where they had just been.
"This is the playroom, where everyone spends most of their time." He explained importantly to Saturn. The playroom was much larger than the schoolroom, meant to take a more large quantity of kids. Toys were scattered everywhere, and it was impossible to get a detailed description, and Eli was moving on anyways. The two eevees reached a third room, the lunch room. Eli didn't need to explain, it was all self-explanatory. The room was painted a calming light blue, and lunch tables bordered the long walls, with a few tables in the center. A cafeteria was located on the far right, as well as a menu and opening schedules. Saturn felt himself getting hungry, and thankfully Eli led him back to the playroom. "There's the end of our tour." The other Eevee informed him.
"Cool, thanks!" Saturn said gratefully and smiled at him. "So, what now? Do you have to show anyone else around, or are you free to play?"
"Nope, just you." Said Eli, looking a little more confident. "I can play."

Title: The Story of Saturn, Chapter 3

They played a game where they passed a ball back and forth at different distances. It was a mindless game, but the two new friends had good fun. Suddenly there was a call from the back to summon the kids for lunch.
"Oh wow!" Said Saturn. "I wonder what we're eating!"
"Assorted berries and herbs." Eli spoiled with a shrug
Saturn started to walk into the cafeteria. "Cool! Let's go." He led the way in, where they sat at a table in the corner of the vast room. Yet another shiny Eevee was sitting at the table. She was a female, and sitting alone. "Who's that?" Saturn whispered to Eli, flicking his tail to point at the other Eevee.
"That's Jennifer. Should we sit next to her? She looks bored." Eli responded.
"Sure! I mean, she is super cute!" He nudged his new friend's shoulder with one paw.
"Shut up!" Eli protested, tackling him and speeding up to sit by the girl. Saturn followed, wondering briefly if he'd pushed too far. He had just met this guy. Don't you dare spoil this. He scolded himself, and sat next to Eli. The girl looked up as the other two sat near her. "Oh! Hi." She said, sounding pleasantly surprised but also startled.
"I hope you don't mind if we sit here." Saturn said to her cheerfully. "You looked a little lonely." He smiled.
"Oh! Well, that's thoughtful of you. What's your name? I haven't seen you around before, are you new?" She asked, studying him for a moment.
"My name's Saturn! Jennifer, right?" He responded to her question. "Yes, I just came in this morning. Today's my first day."
"Well, I hope you enjoy it here, it can be really fun if you learn how to play." She paused for a second. "Saturn, huh? That's a weird name." She added.
"Yeah, my parents chose it, obviously. They...kinda decided they want me to evolve into Umbreon." His smile faded a little and he shuffled his paws on the seat awkwardly.
"That's awful! You know you don't have to listen to them, right? You're an Eevee, you should get to chose your own evolution!" She exclaimed passionately, placing her front paws on the table and leaning towards him. Saturn, uncomfortably, leaned back a little. "Nah...that's okay...I-I mean, U-Umbreon is cool I guess..." he stammered awkwardly. Saturn was relieved when Eli cleared his throat to speak. "Ahem, guys? Shouldn't we...y'know...get food?" He flicked one paw at the counter.
"Yeah! C'mon!" Saturn said, forcing his voice to sound cheerful, and leaped out of the seat. "Imma get a few sitrus berries, maybe a pinap or two...do we have to get herbs?" He paused and saw Eli nod. "Ugh...maybe...a big root? Yeah, I'm not gonna touch that!" He kept talking to distract himself from the discussion of his parents. This place was supposed to be his escape! The Eevee trio got their food and sat down, finishing their lunch in awkward silence. It was a relief after their trays were empty and the release bell sounded.
