I got an ultra saddle on the first Speed Click Saturday event, and gave it to my Solgaleo about a month ago. I put my Solgaleo back in storage with the saddle equipped (after getting a Buzzwole) in order to do some shiny hunting, but when I put him back in my party today the saddle was gone. Not equipped, not in my item bag, can't find it anywhere, and the option to use the ultra wormholes isn't at the ancient cave.

Is there anywhere else the saddle might have gone, or did putting my Solgaleo back in storage with the saddle completely remove it?

It disappeared after you did your Buzzwole Quest. The Ultra Saddle is not an item you can use indefinitely. For each Ultra Beast you get, you have to get a new saddle.
