HeroChat is old Pal Pad?

In the tab 'Community' there is a link to the HeroChat: https://pokeheroes.com/chat
However, when I enter it, it is empty. I can type something and send it to that window, but on the right side of the screen I only see my name.

I did discover the Pal Pad functionality recently, so that's the point I started to wonder if the HeroChat is actually an older version of the Pal Pad?

Or is it because I'm in timezone GMT+1 and simply no user is on and present in the chat?

That just means that no one is online in the HeroChat. It's dead, and no one really uses. People have tried to revive it, but it never really works. Who knows, if you wait awhile maybe someone will come!
