okay so personally I really liked the event we had last year were the "dreaded" radar was revived as the retro radar.

so why not add it to the game center? it would also be a good way to introduce a few new retro's or maybe make the retro's the same as the ones from the memory game but chainable to get a chance at a shiny :)

I like this idea, but it should definitely be harder to obtain the shiny than it was during the event. Also, maybe a chance for finding other rare items instead of a shiny Pokemon? Some could consider it disappointing but also nice- like your boiling mega-stone turning into a black mystery item.
