I was thinking it would be nice to have a 'Like' button on posts in the forums.

Reasons: I'm sure it would be very helpful in the suggestions forum for people who are fascinated by the ideas of others. Or, you could simply show that you like what another user has posted without physically having to tell them.

Comments/Concerns?

I support this. It would be much more useful than the option to 'like' Notifications stuff. xD

I wouldn't want to have that. A simple "I support that idea" is enough. And it's not that much effort, honestly.

a like button would probably prompt more people to just hit the like, instead of posting that they support it and giving potential feedback on an idea

and feedback/sharing of ideas is important, so no support

Not in favor of this idea, basically what honigdieb and autumnstar said. People wouldn't share their opinions as much.
