“You killed her. I saw you kill her. Well you and Ilyce, but she’s dead. She was turned human and killed. She can’t hurt us.” Soraya can tell that this might not have been an ordinary dream but the negative feelings surrounding the ruins have her frazzled already, “We need to get back to them, now.” She gets up and starts to leave the ruins.

Soraya lands near where they had fought and begins to look around in her mid-shift, “I saw her get killed. I saw it.”

Ilyce is fidgeting with a smoke bomb she made in the lab, “I could make it poisonous if I added the right components. But then I’d need a mask.” She had looked for Zero everywhere in the lab when she had gotten in.

Soraya sees this and screams, “No! You’re supposed to be dead!” She turns and flies to the lab, “She’s not dead. I saw her. We aren’t safe yet.” She scrambles towards Ilyce, “Are we all in here? Please tell me all of you are in here.”

Ilyce fumbles with the smoke bomb barely catching it in time, “What do you mean she’s back? I made her a human, she was covered in lava!” She looks like she’s about to start crying, “Is there anywhere we can go to be safe? Do we go to plan b?” She looks at Flicker, “I’m assuming you know what plan b is, right?”

“This was not plan b. This is nothing like plan b.” Ilyce sits down on a stool, “Flicker, I can’t let you fight her alone. I already told you that I can’t handle that feeling again. I couldn’t rule a whole race that I know nothing about. I’m an assassin not a queen, I’m not even a good assassin, I’m like the person in a lab that makes tools for the good assassins.” She starts to cry, “I only said I wanted a few years so I could learn more and figure out what being a queen means. You can’t leave me alone to do this.”

Ilyce groans at this and starts to work faster, and mutters under her breath, “Flicker if you die before we actually get married I will figure out how to revive to you and then kill you again.”

Soraya hears Ilyce and shakes her head, “What can I do to help you. I’m here to heal and keep you safe with arrows while your boyfriend is fighting.” She realizes what she’s saying after it’s out of her mouth, “Here, I can make a dome around us. It will keep you safe, but you will run out of air if you stay in here for too long.”
