they get their quickly, due to a shortcut flicker knows. "so, i already have a couple of the tech needed, i just need you to put them together. i made it so they go magnetically together." he says.

Or are you going to tell me that they’re recent additions to this place?” She hums as she keeps putting the pieces together, “I mean you had to be pretty lonely if you want to spend time with someone who killed people for work like I have. But I have a sick mother in my timeline, and she needs me to take care of her so I did what I had to.” She smiles at him, “I don’t know about machines or socializing but I know about poison and knives. So thrilling, and equally terrifying, I’m sure.” She rolls her eyes and starts humming again.

Ilyce stops humming and looks at him, “Oh... OH!” She fumbles with the tech in her hands, “I-I... okay then... I guess I didn’t think about that even.” She catches the tech and calms down, “Also that was a cute way of saying it. I really liked it, and... I’m willing to get to know you, as we build a machine. And then we save my kinda friend from a mutating poison.”
