(I'll start if that's ok.)

Najima strode through the large town casually, glancing down at the small map that she held in her hands occasionally. Despite being in a completely unfamiliar area, she was extremely calm about this. Being in Johto had been something to adjust to. It was odd not hearing the whistling of winds and sand. Despite the getting used to, it was quite lovely. As she looked around the area she continued walking before stopping in front of a large building, the lab, unsure weather to wait or just head in.

Hearing the footsteps behind her, Najima turned to the person walking up to the building. She nodded slightly in greeting. "Hey, do you know if we're supposed to wait out here or just go inside?"

Najima shrugged before walking up to the door and busting them open. "HELLOOOOO! ANYONE HOME!?" she shouted, not caring for the other researchers she had startled.

Prof. Elm (Yes, we need some 'npcs') comes out and says "Hey, no need to shout. Well, i have to write a paper for a conference, but there are things that i don't understand. So i want you two to raise a Pokémon. I have three of them. Go on, choose!"
Prof. Elm opens a bag with 3 PokéBalls.
One contains Cyndaquil, the other Totodile and the last one Chikorita.

Najima blinked at that before shrugging. "Sure." She then picked up a random PokeBall, the one containing Cyndaquil. She then opened the ball, letting the fire starter out, bending down and stroking its head gently, whispering softly. "Hello there sweetheart." The small Pokemon crooned in content.

Najima swiftly grabbed the boy's sleeve, pulling him out of the grass. "Woaaah there buddy. I don't think you meant to but you just walked into tall grass." She then nodded. "My name is Najima. I've also decided to name this little guy Jahim. What do you think about that love?" she said, aiming that last question at the Pokemon on her head who chirped happily.

Totodile seemed to like the name.
"Wanna go on my shoulder, Minato?"
Minato nodded and Makoto put him on his shoulder.

Suddenly, while he walks, a wild Pidgey appears.

"Go! Minato!"
Makoto then lets his Pokemon battle freely... However, the Pidgey throws a Gust attack at Makoto and sends him flying some meters, rendering him unconscious.

Najima cursed silently as she watched the battle unfold. Whispering silently to Jahim, she let him go. After Minato was knocked out, the small fire type jumped off of his perch on a tree, tackling the bird Pokemon to the ground an knocking it out.

(Just a thing, Pidgey received damage from before, so all that adding up would knock him out. I don't want to sound OP or anything.)

"Hey man." Najima said, Jahim returning to her. "Don't worry if you lost. We all lose and will lose. It's a part of learning." Walking up to the injured water type, she pulled out a potion and sprayed him with it, healing the Pokemon back to full health. "Here, take a few." She said, tossing the max potions at the boy.
