i opened a mystery box and i got 25 event points from it. what are event points and what are they used for?

Event points are points which can be used in the event section of the mall. They are used to buy special event pokemon, which each have a different rarity. The higher the rarity, the more event points it takes. You can be using nuggets, (1 nugget=10 points) or by other ways, like mystery boxes.
