Nami squeaked. "Squirt Squirtle squi." Nami said in a
warning tone snapping Scar out of her distracted state of mind
before she could trip.
"Thanks Nami." Scar said gently and crouched down to pick the
Pokemon up. She spotted Apollo and froze as her natural shyness
began to curse her. Just relax. Not everyone is a threat.
Her dad's words rung in her mind and she took a deep breath before
offering a small smile to Apollo and waving a greeting, she might
as well be polite. Suko looked at Scar and nodded before going up
to Azul curiously.

Max flinched and sighed as he watched Deirdre walk away. He wasn't
sure why she was so mad. Rubbing the back of his neck, he responded
to Jenny. "Uh that was Deirdre." He said with a sigh.
Max sighed, "yeah she and Scar are twins. I don't know." He
grumbled quietly. "She used to be a bit more friendly when we were
kids."
"Sort of reminds me of the stories mom and dad told about when they
met." Austin mumbled to himself.

Scar noticed Deirdre walk into the Pokémon center. She glanced at
Apollo and blinked. "Sorry I got to go!" She said quickly and went
after her sister. Suko stayed behind not noticing Scar leave. Nami
followed Scar. Scar darted into the Pokemon center. "Deirdre." She
called out and looked for her sister.
Austin blinked, "just that Deirdre and Max remind me of the stories
mom and dad told us about when they met. I mean wasn't mom really
arrogant to dad?" He suggested quietly.
Max sighed and looked at Austin curiously.

Scar raised an eyebrow and sat next to Deirdre. "Are you okay? You
seem upset." She asked gently.
Austin nodded in response to Jenny and sighed. "So how've you two
been? I think the last time I saw you was when we went to Unova a
year ago." Max asked kindly in an attempt to try and change the
subject.

Scar accepted the muffin and looked at Deirdre before sighing.
"Come on sis. I know something is wrong. You can tell me." She said
quietly.
Apollo raised his eyebrows but didn’t question it, simply lifted
his hand as a greeting and farewell in response. She hadn’t seemed
that bad. Just in a bit of a rush (which he totally understood,
having spent a solid six hours running around trying to find his
grandmother when she’d decided to go for a walk and get lost).
Azul squeaked a greeting to Suko and blinked curiously, standing
and padding over to the other Pokémon.
"Yeah I'm doing good too." Austin said kindly and glanced at
Jenny.
"Glad you both are doing great, I'm good." Max replied with a shrug
and looked around. "Uh where's Suko?"
~•~
"What did he do?" Scar sighed. "Listen I nearly got over my shyness
to see what was wrong. The least you could do is tell me what
happened." Scar said quietly and frowned.

Suko smiled at Azul and smiled. "Lava!" He said a kind
greeting.
Max frowned and sighed. "Listen I'm going to go look for Suko. He
most likely ran off somewhere." He mumbled quietly and walked
off.
Austin looked at Max as he walked off. He blinked before looking at
Jenny. "Should we go with him?" He asked quietly.
~•~•~
"Maybe we can go to Lumiose. It's the next town on the ma-" she was
cut off as a Pichu ran out from the back and hid behind Nami in
fear. Joy had to put a couple stitches on the Pokémon's tail.
Austin followed Max quietly and looked around for Suko.
~•~•~
Scar had distracted the Pichu long enough for Joy to take it back
and get her healed. She glanced at Deirdre. "Suko came with me to
grab a few pokepuffs, but he's not with me anymore." She said
thoughtfully and looked around the center.
”Osha!” Azul barked back, beaming as he looked at Suko.
”Shawott!”
“Oh,” Apollo blinked and turned his head slightly in the direction
of the Pokémon center. “That must have been your trainer, huh? She
seems nice.”

“C’mere you!”
“NoOOO!” Casey ducked out of the way of Ness’ hands and backpedaled
away quickly, a huge grin forming on their face.
Ness grinned and turned, spotting Simon and lifting one hand as a
greeting (mostly hoping the other wasn’t too concerned by the
scene; first impressions weren’t her strong suits.
