Caleb sighed, rolling his eyes at Nick. "She scares me." he whispered as he watched Nick walk into a hospital and struggle with a door.

"Can someone get the door? I've gotta focus on holding her." Nick says, disregarding Parker's comment.

Parker chose to ignore Nick's request for someone to grab the door and simply stood there, looking around aimlessly before looking directly at Nick. "Can someone get the door, what?" he cooed.

"Please. Arceus, I hate you." Nick grimbled as she shifted Lauren in her arms as Caleb pushed the door open.

"Hi, we have an unconscious girl?"

Parker snickered, satisfied at himself as he walked in behind Nick & Caleb.

"Ah, I see that. Let's get her checked in." the receptionist responded, clicking a few times on her computer and typing in some sort of access code. "Patient's name?" she asked the group.

"Lo- I mean-- Lauren... something... Caleb, what's her last name? You're the study-research dude."

“Uh, something Spanish... Ortega, I think?” Caleb shrugged.

“Sounds right.” Nick said as she bit back a remark to Parker. She’d save it for later.

"Lauren Ortega..." the receptionist repeated quietly. After about half a minute of her clicking and staring at her computer screen, she looked back up at the group and smiled at them. "Alright. You guys could go ahead and set her down in this wheelchair and we'll escort her to her room. After we get some vitals done and draw some blood for blood tests, you'll be able to visit her." she explained.

Parker smiled and nodded at the receptionist without verbally saying the words "Thank you". He sighed after Lo was dropped off and wheeled off, taking a seat in the waiting area.

“Thank you, ma’am. She’s been out for s little bit as well.” Caleb added helpfully as he watched.

Nick echoed the thank you before sitting down in the waiting area, across from Parker.

A nurse came up to Lo's wheelchair as Caleb informed of her state of unconsciousness and smiled at them before slowly wheeling the girl into the back and later into a unit.

Parker remained stagnant in his seat, eyes droopy from his state of exhaustion. He virtually came back to life with a large yawn which afterwards he looked over at Nick, eventually not taking his eyes off of the girl.

(nah it’s okay ive been busy)

Nick’s eyes were trained on the Nurse before she was out of sight. She left her gaze there for a few moments, before slowly swiveling her head to look out the window. She didn’t notice Parker watching her, instead was now focused on outside.

But Caleb noticed Parker watching Nick. He briefly raised his eyebrows before adjusting his glasses with a slight grin.

A while later, Parker quietly sighed as he looked down at the ground before shifting his vision towards approaching footsteps to see another nurse with a somewhat uneasy smile.

"Sorry about the wait." she apologized, the tone in her voice made Parker tense. "Lauren is recovering fine. She had some burns from the fire. Combined with the earlier impact from the explosion just put her brain into overload and rendered her unconscious. You can see her now, she's in Room 12B."

Parker's eyes bounced back and forth between the nurse, Nick & Caleb before he stood up and walked towards the room. As he walked further away, he turned back and whispered to Nick and Caleb. "Something's off about that. We didn't tell her about the attack or the explosion... How could she have been aware of it?"

Caleb had picked up on the same suspicious detail that Parker did when the nurse was talking, he jogged to catch up with him. "She couldn't have learned it from the news. Nurses don't have time for that." he added in a low whisper.

Nick followed the boys, not realizing how close she was walking to Parker. "I don't like this." she said in a hushed tone as she looked around.

Parker nodded at Caleb before looking back at Nick who was relatively close to him. He let it pass, mainly for the sake of Lo, and nodded at her. Once they got to her room, he saw a woman through the closed door's narrow window with familiar platinum blonde hair and long ponytail. "Hey!" he shouted through the door once his memory of whose figure that was none other than Lauren's sister, Lindsey.

Parker attempted to open the door, though it was locked from the inside. Lindsey simply ignored this as Lauren remained motionless.

“Oh Arceus, what’s happening this time? Why is she in there?!” Nick snarled as she peered through the window, nudging Parker or of the way so she could have a batter look.

“Who?” Caleb asked in a low whisper. “Nicole, don’t be so loud!”

“It’s Nick. And Lindsey’s in there.”

“The Lindsey?!”

“Which other one would there be?”

Parker moved aside to let Nick look and groaned. Lindsey turned with a smirk plastered across her face while looking out the window, now at Nick, and walked up to the door before unlocking it and opening it. Parker stood frozen as it opened, Lindsey still smirking at the group.

"This room isn't big enough for all of us to be in." she pointed out dryly.

"Obviously." Parker answered, shaking his head.

"What are you even doing here?" he asked the older woman.

"I can't check up on my little sister?"

"Not if you hate her and, I don't know, are in an evil organization who ruined an entire tournament and vowed to come back to destroy us and 'especially you' while looking directly at Lauren Ortega, otherwise known as 'Lo' by her friends or 'Bubbles' by her older sister, Lind-" he rambled.

"Shut up, field boy." Nick had stopped calling him Park boy for now, at least to not let Lindsey know their identities.

"So you tried to kill your sister and now you're concerned from her? Why are you so morally conflicted?" Caleb sighed.

"Field boy?" Parker repeated in a mumble, confused at this.

Lindsey let out a small laugh at Caleb's response while pushing some loose hair out of her face and pushing it behind her ear. "It's my baby sister, of course I'm concerned for her. That or I was trying to convince her to come with me and ditch her new group of pathetic friends while she was asleep." she finished, smirking afterwards. She didn't wait for a response from the three before walking off, the click of her steps echoing in the hallway as she did so.

"I don't think we're supposed to like her..." Parker responded, choosing not to verbally respond to Caleb's shot but glared at him regardless. He instead decided to go into the room and see Lo, who, shocker, was still asleep.
