You are a newly decided pokemon
trainer with hopes and dreams of adventure in your future. However,
you were also naïvely under the impression that such things would
come to pass later on after your team and yourself had gotten
stronger and more experience was put under your belt. Alas, plans
never seem to follow the narrow and straight road like we would
hope.
One night you receive a dream that changes your chosen course and life's meaning forever.
A voice speaks of an oncoming threat- one that cannot be stopped by one single person, or even a few, and one that could sever the relationship between pokemon and man once and for all.
You are told that you are to meet with three others under the light of the next full moon in the forest nearest to your homestead before the next instructions are to be given.
Once you've woken, you come to discover the validity of the dream the next moment you interact with one of your pokemon- because they no longer just speak jibberish- you can understand them, and communicate with them as easily as you can with the neighbors.
And now the full moon has arrived, and your journey begins...

NOTE: Literacy here conforms to proper English grammar, spelling, punctuation, and being able to type at least, on average, 1-2 detailed paragraphs per post to give everyone else enough resources to come up with decent replies as well.
~ When you start out, you are a new trainer, so your team will more than likely be made up of younger pokemon and with a team <6. This, of course, will change as the RP progresses. This just leaves some growing room.
~ Obviously no Gary/Mary Stu/Sue's- the quality of any RP rests on the challenges that come from the exploitation of the weaknesses and/or fears of the characters. Problems won't exist if no one has any.
~ One main human character per player- of course, sub-characters will arrive as the plot thickens, and when that becomes the case, we'll simply volunteer as to who gets to play who if the character is important enough to even warrant that.
~ Please be active- I understand life gets in the way, but try to at least be active enough to where your absence does not put any strain on the activity of the others.
~ Remember, you will not only be playing people, but you will be playing their pokemon as well, who will also have their own challenges, relationships, etc..

Title: Sign-Up
Name: Aurora West
Nickname: Her father called her 'Roary' for the longest time- she does not respond to it now for personal reasons.
Gender: Female
Age: 19 years
Description: Aurora stands at approximately 5'6" tall with a slim, rather weak-like, built. Her hair appears to be an almost bleached-blonde that is paired with deep green eyes. Her face is rather fair with a few dimples and a small scar that traces from the corner of her right cheek down to the back of her neck that was a result of childhood ignorance. It healed well though and has not left enough disfiguration to take much notice to it.
Aurora is usually dressed in a simple T-shirt, blue jeans, running shoes, and perhaps a small olive-hued jacket that she keeps in her pack for the colder days of the year. She is also seemingly never seen without a small necklace around her neck- a simple thing with a black threaded string holding a rather plain-looking stone.
Personality: Aurora is a shy being at first. She speaks little, but her facial expressions tend to give away her thoughts most of the time anyway. Once her shell is opened though, she can be quite entertaining. Sarcasm isn't an unknown language to her and she seems to be quite talented with it if the need arises- giving hints that her size doesn't seem to be much of an issue concerning her and her rather blunt tongue. She is also a rather serious person as well, and loyal to the end. She is far from weary of speaking the truth- the hard and the easy told ones. She is a true friend if the title is properly earned by the opposite party, and she seems to have a soul a little older than her age tends to hint at.
History: She had a rather normal childhood. Her father was a field researcher for the town's research laboratory and her mother stayed at home and helped raise her. She was a rambunctious toddler, and in her early years gave hints to the idea that she felt the adventurous life suited her far more than the compounds of her small town. However, at the age of twelve, her father never came home. They had been close, despite the lack of his presence in their home. Search parties were out day and night for nearly two weeks before he was presumed deceased. She wears the necklace he had given her a month beforehand from a small expedition into the mountains in remembrance of him.

Other: She has a rather uncanny fear of bug-type pokemon- not a fan, and it would take quite a bit of convincing to get her to feel otherwise. Water is also another weakness that she likes to keep secret until there is no other option other than to admit to her inability to swim and her ability to easily sink.

Personality: Ekans takes after his trainer's tongue and can be rather sarcastic, but he tends to take it up a notch or two pending on who he is in company with. He is easily irritated and is not afraid to tell one when they are the cause of his almost-constant headache. However, underneath his hard exterior, he is loyal and will happily protect those he cares about.

Al is short, but durable. He stands at
about 5'4" and has some slight muscle definition, not muscular, but
not slim either. His skin tone is light, but he has a tan from
constantly being outside. He has bluish-green eyes, and he has
messy dark brown hair that he usually keeps at around neck length.
He has a few scars on his back from scratches and burns, but those
are mostly kept hidden behind his shirt.
He wears durable clothing, almost all which show signs of wear. He is usually wearing jeans, a shirt of some kind, a pair of sneakers, and a brown leather jacket. He tends to carry a satchel in which he carries important items such as food, his pokeballs(which he has few of), a flashlight, etc.

Al tends to dislike other people in
general. Having lived most of his life mostly with other pokemon,
he's seen some of the terrible things people have done in search of
power at a very young age. This has left Al distrustful of other
humans, and he prefers interacting with pokemon. He is often quiet
and reserved around other humans,but around other pokemon he can be
caring, compassionate, and protective. He treats his pokemon as if
he was an older brother figure rather than an owner of a pet, and
shows a genuine hatred for those who don't treat pokemon with the
respect they deserve.

Al doesn't know who his parents are,
but that doesn't bother him. He grew up in an orphanage at the edge
of a forest, where the kids would play. Al was a quiet person in
general, and typically played by himself. Thus, nobody noticed
until nightfall when one day Al didn't come back. A search party
was conducted, fearing the worst had occurred to the small child,
him only being 7 years old at the time. However, two days later Al
was finally found, in a surprisingly good condition, playing in a
clearing with an Aipom and Ambipom. Al was returned to the
orphanage, but the next day, Al went missing again, only to be
found again in the same place, playing with the same pokemon. This
went on for some time, until the owner of the orphanage finally
gave in and let Al wander as he pleased, since he seemed to be able
to handle himself. Al would from then on live primarily in the
forest, going to the orphanage from time to time to check in and
maybe get some food if there was little to be found in the forest.
However, one day after Al had turned 11, he returned to the
orphanage with the Aipom, scratches and burns covering both of
their bodies. He explained that a bad man had taken the Ambipom,
and when him and the Aipom, Nyx, had tried to stop him, the man
sicced a pokemon on the both of them. Again, a party was sent to
find this person for assaulting a child, but they found nobody.
After that, nobody was allowed to enter the forest. Even after that
traumatizing experience however, Al still yearned to be in the
forest. When he turned sixteen, he decided to leave the orphanage
for good, and began to live in the forest again, doing odd jobs
every once in awhile to get money.

He always keeps his pokemon outside of
their pokeballs. His pokemon's pokeballs are just to prevent others
from trying to catch his pokemon. He will sometimes outright greet
a pokemon before greeting another human being. He prefers sleeping
on soft grass or dirt than on a bed. He doesn't try to catch other
pokemon to bring with him. If a pokemon wants to accompany him, he
will gladly let them, but he won't forcefully take a pokemon from
their home.

Nyx is an energetic and playful
pokemon, he spends a lot of time pulling small pranks and getting
into trouble. While he may not act it, he is unnaturally analytic
and smart about approaching combat, choosing carefully when to
strike, avoid, and hide. This extends to his shenanigans, leaving
his victims rather confused when a shiny object in their possession
disappears, only for it to reappear an hour or so later. While
these small annoyances may seem rude or outright malicious at
times, Nyx is merely doing it for fun, and never has any evil
intent behind it. He gets sad if someone is hurt by one of his
pranks, and he will often try to make it up to them in various
ways. Like Al, Nyx is a little standoffish about humans, but not to
the same degree as Al is. He just generally try to avoid direct
conflict with humans besides Al, but will not act rude or hostile
if approached by someone friendly.

Nickname(s): Lithy
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Description: Long, Onyx black hair with sapphire blue eyes. Usually her hair is either down or wavy or in a French braid. Caught wearing jean shorts that are slightly tattered and sneakers, a T-shirt that is snug with a ball cap on. She usually carries a tan backpack, which is small but functional. She wears a silver pendent of a Rapidash that she never takes off due to her past and who gave it to her.
Personality: She has a friendly, energetic and outgoing personality but she does keep her secrets to herself. She loves to travel, battle but also heal and rehabilitate sick and injured Pokémon. She loves her team and family to death considering that they are the only family she has now. She does not speak of her past at all but will tell only the few she trusts. She is somewhat of a jokester as well but when serious things happen, she is the most focused then ever.
History: Lithy grew up on a Ranch with her grandparents. Her parents went there separate ways and later found out they both passed away. She watched her grandparents take care of many ranch Pokemon: including Ponyta’s, Rapidash, Milktanks, Tauros, etc. She lived a live of love and happiness until one day, she went out to town to get some food and items when the ranch was attacked and burned to the ground. Her grandparents were gone and everything she had left was burnt to the ground. While looking for her grandparents and anything left, she found one Pokémon egg that seemed burned on its shell but survived. The Pokémon center in town decided to help and take her in and wait until the egg hatched which turned out to be her only family and best friend.
Team:
Shadowfax- Shiny Ponyta (Level 20) Her oldest friend and her first Pokémon ever. This overheated fire horse has stuck with her from his birth to now and will defend her and the family (when the family or her team is complete) until death. He is calm but is extremely aggressive once provoked the wrong way. He is playful with others and can have a good time but is extremely serious nature.
Eevee- Darken (Level 2) The baby of the team, this little one is the newest member. Also refuses to go into his poke ball, she loves to be carried around by Lithy and is the world traveler with her. He has a playful nature as well but with her past history of abuse from birth, she only trusts Lithy and her family and is usually caught playing with Shadowfax a lot. He has a playful nature and loves chocolate.
Other: Lithy is a skillful rider with Ponyta being she trained them in the past. Her Pokémon are her family so even when they are traveling, they are out of there Poke balls and they all make decisions as a team unit. Battling is her passion but she loves to heal and rehabilitate. Her favorite food is pasta with any sauce and a half and half ice tea and pink lemonade mix.

Name: Evanna Sky
Nickname(s): Anna (Her brother used to call her that, she hates when others use it.) Eva (Her pokemon call her that)
Gender: Female
Age: 17
Description: Evanna has waist length straight ruby red hair, grey eyes and stands at 5'4, she has fair skin and the body of an athlete, with light muscles and a lean figure. She most often wears black leggings, a red romper, a white and red jacket and black and red sneakers.
Personality: Evanna is usually quiet and very perceptive, she hates being wrong and is fluent in sarcasm. She's not very nice to people but has a lot of paitience. She's an introvert who likes reading and is painfully honest in what she thinks of others. Her trust is hard to gain but once you've gained it, her loyalty becomes almost a fault. She loves fire and dark type pokemon, but is terrified of water and water type pokemon, though she'd never tell anyone that.
History: She grew up in an orphanage with her older brother, who was badly ill. When she was eight they were separated when she was adopted by a well respected couple that worked at a pokemon research facility as scientists. She was forced to work as a servant. One day when she was ten the Lady of the house decides to punish her for ruining one of her dresses, and forces the girl down to the nearby lake and holds her head under water for a minute at a time, this is where her fear of water was born. She escapes a year later with the help of a Growlithe and another maid in the house, they part ways and Evanna is given ownership of the fire pokemon, she goes to the same orphanage she grew up in but receives the news that her brother had passed away, leaving her a pokemon egg. She works odd jobs and lives in the attic of an old building until she earns enough money to buy a small apartment. She starts working at the pokemon center by taking care of the sick pokemon.
