"s-sorry." Drew said, quickly drawing her hand back. "I did have a
lot on my plate. I still do. B-but... you should've told me,
really. I mean... I'd rather worry about you than not hear at all."
"Oh." Drew said, standing up and stepping over to turn the light in
her room off. She sat back down, tossing pillows over to Robert.
"Here. I usually hoard pillows. But-" she snickered as she lay
down.
Drew grinned, turning to her side. "Goodnight. I don't think I've
said this enough... or even ever, but... I love you." she trailed
off with a smile. "I'm glad you're not dead and I'm glad you beside
me. It was a hard 6 months without you. S-so I'm glad you're back -
we're back - a-and that I can finally tell you how much I love
you."
Robert woke up and groggily blinked a bit before looking around. He
smiled slightly as he noticed how close to Drew he was. Apparently
sometime in the middle of the night, he had scooted and had wrapped
an arm around her midsection.
Drew was sweating slightly, but was not awake. She'd woken in the
middle of the night from a nightmare, but fell back asleep about 20
minutes later, as it was the same one she'd normally had.
