Darting back into Roue's bunk, Flair tumbled onto her own bunk and
curled up with a grin, reaching for her own journal that she kept
tucked underneath her bed.
There's a new Pokémon in the guild! His name is Scorch, and he
says he used to be a human. Aki and I took him out on a mission
today, and he seemed pretty normal. He's okay, I think.
Aki burst into the room. "Watcha writing?"
Flair screeched and flung the journal back under her bed, curling
up defensively. "None of your business, dork!"
Aki cackled before settling down on his own bed, falling asleep
quickly. Flair soon followed his example.
Scorch went into the room, and climbed into his bed. He put the
rusty badge on a small shelf, hidden away from Chomp, next to his
bunk. He looked at the door when Chomp walked in? "Oh man that was
great!" Chomp said cheerfully. "You alright?" He asked and looked
at Scorch in concern.
Scorch nodded and yawned "fine fine. I'm going to get some sleep.
You should too, tomorrow we're going to become a mystery team!" He
said cheerfully.
Chomp nodded and climbed into his bed. He instantly fell asleep.
Scorch sighed and grabbed the badge once more It belonged to a
team that was the first to disappear years ago. The strange thing
is they had a Quilava on their team Hino's words repeated over
and over in his mind. He soon put the badge away and fell
asleep.

"Come on we need to get out of here!" A voice called through the
darkness. A Quilava looked around the strange dark dungeon.
"How do we do that!?" The Quilava yowled angrily and ran down a
path. A poliwag was on his back a he ran.
"I don't know!? Don't you have a pure seed or an escape orb or
anything?" The voice groaned.
The Quilava stopped, "no I-" his voice faded when something was
shaking the world. Soon the dungeon faded, and Scorch woke up in
his room with Chomp shaking him awake.
"Come on sleep talker! You can't sleep all day" Chomp said
lightly.
Flair and Aki had long since dragged themselves out of their bunks,
and were relaxing around for a bit while Aki attempted to track
down a medium difficulty quest. Nothing had caught his eye so far,
though he wanted to try the "capture this pokemon please" thing.
Flair disagreed quickly, seeing it was in a dungeon above their
level.
Scorch yawned and hauled himself out of his bed. He ran out of the
bunks with Chomp following him. On their way to Hino's room, Scorch
saw Flair and Aki. "Morning!" Chomp said cheerfully.
Aki waved back with a cheerful grin. Flair was half-asleep on her
paws, leaning against the wall. The Riolu nudged her and she jerked
to life, nearly hitting the ceiling with a surprised screech that
sent Aki sprawling into laughter.
Chomp laughed in amusement and Scorch tipped his head to the side.
"You alright?" Scorch asked Flair kindly. Chomp rolled his eyes and
glanced at Hino's room.
"Excellent. Fantastic." Flair laughed, nudging Aki with her paw.
She glanced up at Scorch and Chomp and nodded a greeting. "Have fun
today." She said kindly before turning back to her partner. "Get up
you lump."
Uki flew to the Roue bunk and she had a book. It was open to a
chapter on the mystic pokemon, Xatu. She thought it would be a good
idea to research what they were going to be looking for soon
enough,
Scorch laughed in amusement and nodded "alright then see you later"
he said cheerfully and went to the door for Hino's room. Chomp
followed him quickly.
".. Did you say anything to them?" Aki asked as soon as they were
gone.
Flair shook her head, sorting through the papers. "As far as I can
tell, there's no link between the sites. It's a dead end." She said
miserably. "You know you're the best, right? Thanks for sticking
around."
"Duh, you're my best friend." Aki grinned, grabbing a paper. "This
one!"
Uki sighed and kept reading the book.
'Xatu is known to be places where they can see the sun and stars
clearly, so they tend to be away from towns and cities. They are
not hostile pokemon in nature, but will fight if needed.' The book
read. (The book of exposition)
Cloud floated over to look at the board, and a certain poster
caught her eye. "Huh?" She took it and had a look at it. It was a
wanted poster for a con artist purrloin.
Scorch looked into the box, and pulled out a red and black
bandanna. He tied it around his neck and handed Chomp the blue and
black bandanna over. "Alright just go find a job and you're
officially a mystery team. Have fun" Hino said evenly.
Scorch nodded uneasily and noticed the cautious glare the
Typhlosion was giving him. He ran out of the room with Chomp behind
him and made his way to the board.
