I have 2 questions from this quest
1. When you win and he gives you the berries, are you supposed to say thank you or are you kidding me? (I don't know if the are you kidding me will spark him giving a better reward or not)
2. Isn't this the quest that eventually sparks getting the badge? I've seen mixed answers on this. The news report says you get the badge for winning and the wiki says you can't do this quest UNTIL you have the badge, and I'm confused on that

Alright -
1. How you answer is something you'll have to decide for yourself ;)
2. The Lab-triggered Oak Quests will eventually end and reward you with the Badge.
Once you have the Badge, you'll unlock the Emera Square Oak races/quests [start Monday, end Sunday at 8 am], which I think is what the Wiki could be referring to.
