What counts toward my Trainerpoints, or how do I gain more?
Is there other ways to gain money other than trade, auctions and interacting? Can you sell things to shops?
A few things are still locked for me and I'm not entirely sure how to unlock them because "??????????" is all the information it gives me.
How do I obtain keys? I have a mystery box and I can't open it without one.
When a trade says "free" at the bottom, does it actually mean free? I've been turned down for a couple like that so far.
How do I find people interested in battling?

2. You can search forum for people looking to buy things.
3. The few things locked will be unlocked by leveling your trainer. By the time you reach lv30 trainer everything will be unlocked except the premium one as it requires you to be premium.
4. You can obtain keys from Rumbling, Treasure hunt etc.
5. Its upto the user whether to accept or reject the trades. Sometimes if the user accepted other person on the trade then your trade will be rejected.
6. They is a seperate battling section in forum where you can find people for battling.

yes
it will unlock as your trainer level raises.
you need a key and a box of the matching color.

- Adopting and hatching eggs (Tip: I recommend you to breed or buy event eggs since they give more exp than the ordinary ones)
- Trading (might be helpful but exp is not really that good)
- Spending time at the GC (again might be helpful)

- Yes, you can under the GTS Subforum. As for money you can try Rumbling it's my main source of PD + the items you can get from it varies (keys, boxes, gems, berries and other items.)

- You can unlock every feature in the 'Town' section if you are above level 20-ish..? Excluding the other features that require key items such as Pokeradar and Vs. Seeker.

- You can get them from Rumbling. Don't forget to match items with their corresponding colors! (Eg. A Red Box will need a Red key for it to be opened.)

- Users tend to obey first come first serve rule. Other than that there are also users who use 'free' trades as a clickbait.
