What determines what type - and how many - pokémon end up available there? According to the wiki, "In the Tall Grass you can look for eggs that have been sent to the wild", but where are they coming from? The question has been asked before about what happens to your pokémon when you release them, and the answer was given that they are deleted. So... where do these "wild" pokémon come from? I had thought perhaps it may have been from eggs not claimed at the Daycare, but I tested that. I let a couple of my eggs get released, and the pokémon type never showed up to be hunted in the Tall Grass. I know this isn't the most pressing of questions, but I have been wondering about it for some time now and thought I might finally ask. Thanks! ♥

It's the eggs that aren't accepted in the daycare, pokemon do get released, and disappear into a black hole. That is true, but eggs don't do that. Unless they are special, event, quest, etc. (Since they don't have an egg radar chip in the first place) If it didn't show up, then you probably didn't have the chip for it. You can test this by looking through the tall grass amounts, mareeps, pichus, salandits are all common chaining pokemon so thats why the amount of them is so high compared to the other pokemon. People often think the PH sprites are bland. Do they shade? Well, yes they do. You'll be surprised how much care is taken for these sprites.

I have all the chips, but I didn't realize that Combee were labeled as "Special" for some silly reason. That makes zero sense to me, but whatever. Thank you for the explanation! ^.^ ♥
