Hoot-Hoot used peck onto slugma and it is hit with the rock throw by shadow slugma to distract him.

Satomi hated seeing this. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't continue to let the Pokemon be hurt, but she also could risk letting go of the bed or Joe may be taken away. She looked at Joe once more and when she was sure he was looking at her she sent a message via their eye contact that said, 'I have to let you go but I'll find you and save you please don't give up on me.' Once she was sure he got the message she mouthed the words that she has been too shy to say until now, 'I love you.' "Blaze Heart we have to help the others. Protect the ones that are hurt alright," she said though her heart was breaking and even though she hadn't had Blaze Heart too long she has had him long enough so that he is able to tell that she is heartbroken about having to do this.

"Makuhita use Shadow Rush quickly. Hoot Hoot you stay back you have been hurt enough as it is," Satomi called out while she fought the tears that was trying to fall as she and Blaze Heart let go of the bed. Blaze Heart nodded and went to protect the other Pokemon while Satomi stood behind Makuhita to battle.

Joe closes his eyes knowing that she will find him once more. Hoothoot then turns white after satomi said that and becomes noctowl.

Satomi looked at Noctowl with wide eyes before she got out her Pokedex to see what moves he now had. She then looked at Makuhita to see he was getting ready to use Shadow Rush like she asked.

Noctowl now has the moves reflect and confusion. and it uses reflect before slugma hit makutia with shadow rush.

"Thanks Noctowl," Satomi called to him grateful that he is helping Makuhita. "Makuhita use your own Shadow Rush once more," she said as she got out a Primer Ball she had. Like before the ball she grabbed began to glow blue. She waited for the right moment before she will toss the ball at the Slugma.

slugma is hit and falls over. the grunt yells at it to get up as the helicopter leaves the grunt behind.

slugma is captured and the grunt run away leaving the key but then he is arrested.

Satomi went over to pick up the key and then the Pokeball that held the Slugma. She looked at it sadly as she recalled on what she had to do to get this Slugma out of the wrong hands. She looked at Makuhita and smiled sadly at him before she went over to him and petted him before she hugged him. "Thanks for your help Makuhita," she said. Blaze Heart, who was sad because his dear trainer was sad, went over to Satomi and gave her a caring nuzzle.

ralts comes up to satomi with tears wondering if we are gonna go after joe now. the grunt then yells" I need to get back to the base in Cerulean city..opps" he covers his mouth.

"Cerulean City," Satomi said keeping that in mind before she looked at Ralts and gently pick her up to hold her close. "Don't worry Ralts we'll get Joe back. We just need to head toe Cerulean City," she said before she looked at all the Pokemon wondering on how she will take Joe's Pokemon with her. She knew their Pokeballs were still here but she wasn't sure on if she will be able to keep them with her since she had a full team. She also knew she need to check on Absol and the Slugma and try to decide which Pokemon she will send to the lab so she could have Absol on her team.

Satomi looked her mother sadly, not surprise that her mother knew something was wrong, and told her what happened and that Joe was taken by the cipher grunts for some reason.
