If pokemon existed ....
Forum-Index → General Discussion → If pokemon existed ....If you go off the offical, anime books, they state at age 10 in that world, you are officially an adult, and most people become trainers, or get a job right after turning 10, and even get married. So seeing as no one there seems all that worried about traveling, I think if we lived in that universe, if you really think about it... most people probably wouldn't even be worried on that level.
The idea of training pokemon would be an amazing thing most would be excited about, and hastily awaiting not long after they turn ten(since they can't start off right at age ten, it takes some time).
I know when I was a kid, that was a huge dream of mine, and I used to ride around with my bike, and a backpack, with a Charmander, Bulbasuar, Pikachu, and Squirtle plush in it, and always wore a jean vest, and a cap, pretending I was a pokemon trainer. XD!!
Also, please check out the Adoptables I have available right now.
Please check out my berry shop~!
Considering how mutations work I reckon that given the fact that horses would still exist it would be reasonable to assume that science would find a way to give equine pokemon similar coats and patterns to that of the modern day horse XD
I want to fall in love. No, I'd rather make money.
Besides that, I think everything else would be pretty normal for me.
lmao but since Pokemon can be stronger than even some machines, some person with evil aspirations would've probably blew up the world with a legendary Pokemon by now. Just a thought..
On one hand I suspect travelling around that world might be easier then in this one purely because becoming a Pokémon trainer seems to be a fairly common expectation for people of a certain age to do. If only for a few years at least. As I would imagine not everyone goes around as a travelling Pokémon trainer indefinably.
On the other hand that does mean that, depending how accurate they are some of the Pokedex entries are also true so assuming I would survive that long while growing up in the Pokémon world would want to make sure I knew what certain things to look out for. Either in regards to Pokémon I would want to avoid in the wild until I was ready or to make it easier find them.
I'm thinking I would slowly stock up on poke balls and potions if possible before the trip as well, especially if I have to catch rather then get given my first Pokémon. As well as assuming technology wise, both based on what we see in the games/ manga/ games and how quickly it can progress in real life. That not only can we revive extinct Pokémon but previously lost evolutions and Pokémon have also been brought back and can now also breed.
Now as for Pokémon I would actually want to try and get for the team, Rockruff, ever since it was first introduced in gen 7/ Alola Rockruff has been one of my favourites along with all three of it's evolutions forms. Vulpix, either Kanto or Alolan if not both eventually. Alolan Ninetales being my favourite ice type after all. But the original being my favourite Pokemon along with Umbreon before gen 7.
Over all if I did have the choice of any of the starters we know of so far then depending what else was happening at the time I would go either Cyndaquil (as I did on this site), with the aim of catching one at some point if that wasn't an option for my starter. Or failing that Turtwig or Sprigatito for the grass type starter. As for the water starters being Popplio or Quaxly depending which options there for me to pick from.
Other than that I would just try to make sure I had a flying type Pokémon as well as one that could help my surf in case of an emegency that I would probably stick to using actual ships for the most part to travel across the ocean.
ON THE LIGHTER SIDE: I think it would be fun to have pokemon that help us get around! My Mom could have a service pokemon to help her on bad joint days!
