Obviously they divided 4 (mafia) by the amount of people in game (cept for you) and then multiplied by 100

or something else

You do realize, PokemonMaster, what Ryou explained was math. which is what calculations are. M a t h. He did the math to figure out the chance.

@Xtreme You can still upload it to imgur. I'm not sure how- I don't use it.

Im not saying a mafia role told me but if thats the case then shouldnt it be their fault

It is one of their faults though if a mafia member contacted you, you should have told me and not exploited it.

Simple:
As Ryou said, he figured out how many people were in the game specifically. He then found out how many people were Mafia, compared to how many people were not (about 4 out of 20, in this case)
By dividing the number of actual mafia members by the number of people who could be mafia, he of course ends up with a decimal.
Afterwards he multiplied it by 100.
I may be remembering it wrong or getting it wrong, but from what I d o remember this is how you find the percentage of a possibility.

As Majikal said, you should have told him. Not exploited it. It makes it unfair and no longer fun for anybody playing.

I wasn't in that round, but I need pm2308 to stop.
The probability of hitting Ferret for gf was 1/21. Then finding two other mafs 2/16, then 1/2 for choosing the goon. Thus, the probability of finding mafs would be about .29%. So Mahn might have been a little off, but your chance was still very small.
