Breezetail yawned and padded into camp after them, dropping the fish on the fresh kill pile and moving away to sit down and lick her paw. The feeling of fish on her paw annoyed her.

Dawnpelt stood, feeling excited. “Of course, Flamestar,” she said, nodding. She looked for Lilypaw by the freshkill pile, “ Come on now, border patrol. Meet me at the entrance, “ she said. Dawnpelt bounded towards the warriors den in search of Ashpelt.

Tigerpaw went over to Breezetail. "Hello Breezetail want to come with me to find some herbs?" she asked the warrior kindly. She was unsure what Greenbush was up to.

Lilypaw nodded, and stood up she followed Dawnpelt, and saw Ashpelt sitting just outside the warriors den. "Hello Dawnpelt" Ashpelt purred kindly.

"Sure." Breezetail wowed cheerfully, and then looked thoughtful. "Wouldn't Greenbush be better for this? I think he's out of camp right now. I think. I dunno, he's strange." She said fondly. She'd always considered him a brother of sorts.

As Breezetail had guessed, Greenbush was indeed out of the camp and by the river, carefully plucking a few leaves off a plant with his teeth.

“ Good, then you could use the exercise,” Dawnpelt mewed. “ Come on then,” she said, padding towards the entrance. “ Let’s head towards the river, and follow it out towards the start of the mountain area,” she said to Ashpelt and Lilypaw, and walked through the exit of the camp.

Dawnpelt lead the way through the brush, leading towards the river. She paused at the river, looking it over and smiling at the thought of Breezetail swimming earlier, then proceeded to tread alongside the river downstream. She noted the feeling in the dusty soil as it become rockier, approaching the mountains. Reaching the edge of their territory, she paused, turning towards her patrol. “ Ashpelt, could you renew the markers here?”, she asked. She proceeded to cross the river on the stepping stones that jutted out of the water.

Ashpelt nodded, and went to the border. He was about to begin marking the borders when a badger jumped from the shadows. "What the!" he meowed in shock, and stumbled backwards as the badger tackled him.

Tigerpaw nodded, and went towards the twoleg place. She stopped at the border, and began to dig at the ground where some thyme leaves were growing out.

Dawnpelt hissed angiely as she leapt back from the river towards the Badger. Drat! How did I not scent this evil creature??, she scolded herself. She launched herself into the Badger’s side, with the aim to knock it off of Ashpelt’s body.

Lilypaw meowed in shock, and ran at the badger. She jumped onto it's back, and began to slice at it's eyes. The badger screeched in shock as both cats were on it. It then stumbled off Ashpelt.

Breezetail followed Tigerpaw out and sat down, watching her carefully. She mimicked the medicine cat and did her best not to claw the plants. Her ears flicked up slightly. She could have sworn she heard something, but probably not.

Dawnpelt attacked the badger, swiping at its side, attempting to surround it with Lilypaw. “ Get out of here, you vile thing,” Dawnpelt hissed.

Tigerpaw pricked her ears as she heard hissing, and growling. "Sounds like fighting" she meowed lowly.

Lilypaw jumped back as the badger threw her off. She then bit the badger's tail. Ashpelt grunted and got to his paws. He had a bad scratch across his throat where the badger ambushed him. "Hey worm breath! Over here" he spat, and launched himself at the badger's flank.

Dawnpelt yowled and tackled the badger, biting it’s throat. Her tailed lashed wildly as she latched onto the craature, kicking it repeatedly with her back claws.
