Greenbush shrugged as well. Everyone was on edge around this time, so that might have sown thing to do with it.

Greenbush was currently playing with a few berries, rolling them between his paws. They were bad, so he'd have to bury them, but for now, it was a good way to kill time.

Breezetail crouched down, hiding in some bushes in silence, ears twitching as she listened and scented the area.

Tigerpaw was about to put the herbs away when she heard a screech come from inside camp. "What was that!" she said in shock.

Greenbush leapt up, fur bristling. "I don't know." He meowed, darting out of the den.

Breezetail's eyes widened and she turned tail and streaked back towards the camp, skidding to a halt nearby.

Tigerpaw ran out of the medicine den, and saw a kit, Robinkit, on the ground. He looked like he was in pain. "Robinkit what happened?" Tigerpaw meowed swiftly. There were red berries near the kit.

Greenbush sniffed the berries and drew back with a hiss. "Death berries." He growled. "Open his jaws and try and pull the berries out of his mouth." He meowed firmly. "I'll go get some stinging nettle seeds to help him throw it up."

Tigerpaw nodded, and opened Robinkit's jaws gently. She then fished a few berries from his mouth with her claws. The red berries were getting snagged in her claw as she did this.

Greenbush dove into the medicine cat den, lifting a few stinging nettle seeds with his paw and limping back out, dropping them into the ground beside Robinkit. "He needs to swallow those." He murmured softly.

Tigerpaw nodded, and crouched down to the frightened kit. "You need to eat these" she meowed gently and put one of the seeds to his mouth. The kit hissed, but took the seed. He then groaned, and puked up the death berries.

Greenbush growled and looked around. He knew for certain they didn't have any death berries in the camp, and he hadn't seen any kit leave, so a warrior or apprentice must have brought them in. "He should be okay, as long as we keep an eye on him." He meowed softly.

"I hope so." Greenbush murmured. He was sure if the kit had eaten any more of the berries he'd have been dead. He looked at the remaining death berries and scowled. "We'll need to bury these." He growled. "I'll do that in a bit."

Greenbush dipped his head. "Enjoy." He replied, carefully scooping up the berries in his paw and exiting the camp, padding a good distance away before beginning to dig a hole.

Tigerpaw walked through the dry clearing, and went to the river. She placed her paws in the stream, and pricked her ears as she heard a few unfamiliar voices.

"Those berries will kill the warriors?" one of them meowed lowly.

Another voice replied that seemed familiar, but Tigerpaw couldn't place it correctly. "Yes I took some to the kit...he should be dead soon" she meowed grimly. Tigerpaw accidently scared a fish, and it splashed just above the surface. "Someone's spotted us" the voice hissed lowly. Tigerpaw froze, and looked for a hiding spot. She didn't see one so she dived underwater. A few cats then walked to the shore and sniffed around.

Come on....leave Tigerpaw thought sharply, and dug her claws into a submerged tree branch. She then went further underwater to not have her ginger coat visible.

Greenbush fished digging the hole and dropped the death berries into it, quickly scraping the dirt back over them and patting it down.
