Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus
Forum-Index → General Discussion → Percy Jackson and Heroes of OlympusWritten by one of the most famous authors, Rick Riordan.
How many of you have read these and found them really cool? Cause I am a big fan of it. I just keep waiting for all the new books. Especially those involving Percy and the other 6 members of the Great Prophecy.
What I didn't like: I could look past some of the short comings of the literature itself such as the dynamic relationships between the characters that have been overused as some sort of template that leaves you with those "I called it moments", however, what I couldn't get passed were simply the generic dialogues. I will say that the writing has redeemable qualities due to needing to be fast and digestible for younger audiences.
What I did like: There were plentiful of memorable moments that I could look back and say "Man, I really want to read the series again". I can't recall a time when an event occurred where it wasn't painted in a way that had you compelled to turn the next page and binge read the next book. He took Greek Mythology and really ran with it to make his own world to be delved into and explored.
I don't believe I have the heart to re-read the series as to preserve it as it was - a memorable series.
The lost hero seemed a bit boring at the beginning but then everything went on good.
Thank you Rick for the wonderful series and I hope you do continue writing more books on the Greek Mythology.
Also guys, who is your favorite character in the Percy Jackson series and the Heroes of Olympus series?
