I'm sorry to clutter up the forum, but I was thinking of a variant of Kyogre_Pumpkaboo's suggestion:
A Feed Remover, which only removes it from your notifications but not other people's. Unneeded posts could clutter up the notifications page, so click, click and click-Presto! The page is cleaned!

on your notifications page, there's a filter off to the side, you can select different options there to view different notification types
