"Enough!" Xyry threw his double blade at Jake. The weapon came back to Xyry's hands. "You will not corrupt anymore people!"

"About time." Jake said. "I was getting tired talking."

Aiden scowled. "I don't think it's actually taking up too much of his energy right now. I think this started back at the gas station, after he saved a bunch of people and overexerted his powers." He sighed and shook his head.

"Jeesh, don't be such a downer." Ali said, nudging Aiden with her mind. "Just imagine what Cam's probably trying to do!"

"Uh, set up a giant shield that would kill her afterwards?" Aiden suggested blankly.

"Like I said. A downer." Ali muttered, crossing her arms. "I was aiming for something along the lines of 'lighting all the books on Fire out of frustration', but I guess that works too."

Aiden snorted. The sad part was, Ali wasn't exactly wrong.

(Would you still like me to take control of Xyry?)

"Gas stations." Aiden replied. "A lot of shadows. Exhaustion, a lot of innocent people, it was a mess."

"And you weren't even there." Ali added, looking at Aiden. "You were, what, three towns away?"

"Why do you even remember that?" Aiden asked her in confusion.

"Lucia talks a lot." Ali replied simply. Aiden snorted.

"How much longer do you think we have?" Aiden asked.

"At this rate? Maybe forty, fifty minutes?" Ali said, crossing her arms and peering into the water. "I wonder where my sword went..."

"That's it?" Aiden gaped at her. "You're kidding? I though we had at least another four or five days?!"

"Uh no." Ali said dully. "Get your head in the game."

Xyry remained silent, pulling out his double blade. He dodged with surprising swiftness, dropping to the ground and kicking up, hoping to kick Jake back and/or confuse him.

Ali looked at Kioiki. "I'm not sure what we can do to help." She admitted. Her eyes brightened. "Wait, we could call Elizabeth and Cam! THEYRE Light elementalists, they could do something!" She exclaimed.

Aiden shook his head. "Elizabeth won't fight Jake." He pointed out quietly. "And Cam is probably destroying herself with that shield- Wait." His eyes lit up. "If they could make a large enough shield, it could push the shadows back, right? So would it help literally push the element out of Jake?""

Ali shrugged.

Susan shook her head. "Wished it worked that way, but it doesn't. Elements are kind of like parasites. Except they latch onto your soul. And the only way to get rid of it, is to either kill the Elementist, or them, willingly relinquishing their powers to someone else"

Jake dodged, but felt the kick connect his left arm. He did a quick spin to go along with it to gain momentum. He then sent a full blast punch at Xyry

Aiden nodded. "I guess that makes sense." He conceded.

Xyry didn't manage to move in time. He slid to the side, but the punch still hit his shoulder. He barely flinched, instead grabbing Jake's arm and throwing him, hefting his dual blade and leaping towards Jake.

Jake knew there was no time to get out of the way. Instead he just turned into a stone giant, the damage doing nothing to him. He then grabbed Xyry by his shoulder and threw him into the Arctic waters

Kioiki jumps in the mid-way of tge fight between the two and catches Xyry saving him. "You okay ?" She asks worried tgen she screams to Jake. "You are a coward mister !! If you hace tge guts then face tge world tge way it is.

Jake smiled. "I am. The world has dealt me a hand full of power and strength, with people going to no extent for that power. I am going to end that corruption. Along with the corruption in the universe as well." He looked at her. "It seems that you are more annoying than the others. I'll make quick work of you."
In an instant, he was behind her, thanks to the speed of darkness. He hit a pressure point and she fell, unconscious.

Bryan's eyes widened. He looked over at the others and whispered. "Hes fighting back."
Annabelle looked at him, "Duh, Xyry and that new girl are getting their butts kicked."
Bryan shook his head. "Not what I mean." He looked over at the girl. "If he wanted to, he would have killed her. There has to be some part of his conscious that is fighting the corruption."

Kioiki tried to stand up but failed but she spoke just before loosing consciousness, " To fight corruption you should ve against it abd not a part of it....." Abd then sge fell to the ground.

Ali yelped, diving forward to catch Kioiki. Aiden held out one hand, grabbing Ali's arm and hauling them up.

Xyry pulled himself back up, slamming his fists together. With a small rumble, the giant armor of darkness appeared around him, and he seemed to hesitate before drawing his weapon.
