I prefer Persona 3 FES. While it doesnt have direct control in your party members (only control on the protagonist) the AI was smart, not like in Persona 4, in which the AI was dumb. Also, not having direct control makes it harder, and more fun. Also, i prefer Tartarus over the many dungeons of Persona 4.

Whilst some of the mechanics brought questions in Person 3FES, I was really drawn into the story, I thought the story was amazing! If not kinnda really heart breaking. It's the same for Persona 4 (and P4G), adored the story and loved the concept of the mist, the deep setting and meaning behind it all. I did prefer Tartarus over the dungeons in P4 - Something about exploring Tartarus and trying to reach the top just seems pretty appealing and interesting to play, probably why I liked the Mementos in P5 :3 FES and Golden's extra story were also pretty good, I liked the FES extra story because you get to play as another character and it was pretty challenging *raises fist to the spamming of Light/Dark moves >A>.. well until you reach the final boss aha, that was pretty easy P4G's extra boss was definitely harder, not by much but eh~

I don't think the AI thing ever bothered me in P4 because you could change it to control them any way, a feature I'm very grateful for, my final team in P3 liked to do the wrong thing and result in my game other a few times |D
