Hearing the backup call, both of them rushed towards the apartment.
Tsubasa was the first to reach the there. On entering, he saw Angel
holding a gun and leaning against the wall. Mike soon entered after
Tsubasa, he pointed his finger to the room and gestured to ask if
Jouchiro was in there. He slowly moved closer to the door, where
Angel was standing, "What happened here? Did you threaten him?" he
whispered.

Angel reached out with her fist and was about to knock to see if he
was going to shoot through the door, but then her back up came
around the corner. "I just asked a few questions and he ran. You
know me, I don't threaten people... I just shook the tree to see
what fell out, and it looks like something did." She whispered back
and looked at the door. "I don't know if there's a window in there,
so one of you should go outside to keep an eye there..." She waited
until both men were not in line with the door before trying to open
it.
Tsubasa stopped her from opening the door , "Mr. Watanabe is a
coward, I think Mr. Nottingham's plan might work on him" he said
releasing her arm. "The plan's simple.." Mike finally said, his
expressions were as cold as winter in Antarctica, "we are gonna
pull the classic good cop-bad cop on him, I am trusting you on this
one Agent Renae".
Yes he seemed a little childish saying that but that plan did
worked for him in the past, so, he had enough confidence in it.
Mike pulled two guns from his holsters and pushed the door open.
Watanabe took a shot but it missed by great lengths and hit the
wall of his room instead. At this point of time, he was terrified,
Mike's killer intent just added to his fears.

Angel nodded and readied herself with a breath. "Mr. Watanabe!
Either you lay down your weapons or my partner here carries your
dead body into the station! He's not in a good mood today!" She
shouted from around the corner. "We don't want to kill you, but we
will if you continue to resist arrest!" She leaned her head
partially out so she could get a glimpse of how the room is set up
and what the suspect is doing.
Jouchiro was trembling, "dont't come any closer! I will shoot you!"
he said pointing the gun towards them. Mike also pointed his guns
towards Watanabe, "two guns cover more area with buns damage you
know?" he kept coming closer towards him. " Now, you are gonna tell
my friend what she wants to know, or I am gonna......." he came
very close to him. Jouchiro, who was pale by now, dropped his gun,
"okay! okay!" Mike looked at Angel and winked, it was a signal that
he had done his work and now it was her turn.

Angel knew her partner wouldn't have shot to kill, but in self
defense an arm or leg would suffice. "Were you involved in the
robbery mister Jouchiro?" She had stepped into the room and her
blank expression was to keep a grin off her face. She loved it when
plans come together so well. No one had to be shot, and they quite
likely had their shapeshifter, or at least a lead.
(Sorry for being inactive for so long, I did announced it though.
Anyways, Japan case will be over soon)
"No!" he yelled, Mike gave him another deadly look, "I am telling
the truth! I have nothing to do with it!" Mike gave him yer another
cold stare, "he didnt even told me about it earlier!" he said out
of fear. Mike's eyes widened as he heard it, so, Jouchiro wasn't
the shapeshifter but it was someone else. Later on, he told them
how he had taken a loan from the jeweller and was unable to pay it.
As a result, he took away their only pricely possession, their
mother's earrings. His brother stole them and brought them back, he
didn't evem told him that they were stolen until later that
morning. The picture of the culprit was now clear, it was the
biggest possible lead for the case.

After they'd brought him in and got him processed, Angel was
sitting at her desk and yawned. It'd been a long day and she was
still getting the paperwork together. "I need coffee... Do you want
any?" She asked as she got up, planning to get some from the
kitchen.
"I would lIke some cola if you can get it" Mike said as he read all
the case related files, standing in one corner of the room. Unlike
Angel, he had no paperwork to attend to as he had already taken
care of it. He was flipping through the pages when he suddenly
asked Angel "Quick question Agent Renae, if you were a
thief-shapeshifter who had cops searching for you, where would you
hide?"
~I have loved the stars too fondly to be

"Cola? No problem." Angel was just heading out the door when he
asked his question that made her stop and turn around. "Uhm," She
rubbed at the back of her head. "I don't know about a thief or
shapeshifter, but if I was trying to hide, I would likely hide
where no one would expect. In plain sight." She shrugged before
heading off to get the two beverages.
(I am a terrible person... I am so sorry... College is a new form
of Hell...)
He grabbed himself a chair. Putting the files on the table, he sat,
engrossed in his thoughts. He mumbled to himself, staring at the
void. Many places, numerous spots going through his mind like a
slide show. The native team was searching for the thief, so there
weren't many places where he could hide. After all this time, Mike
had a hunch about his whereabouts. He leaned back on the chair and
patiently waited for his cola to come.

After about half an hour Angel returned with the drinks and set his
on the table beside him. "Any luck yet?" She asked before taking a
deep swig of her coffee and leaning against the aforementioned
table.
Mike took a sip from his drink before talking. "He should be hiding
in his neighbourhood, disguised as member of one of the families I
assume" he replied, as he extended his arm to grab another of the
case files.

Angel nodded. The logic made sense. "But how would we find him
amongst them?" That was the big problem. How to figure out which
one he was playing. For all they knew he could be portraying more
than one person.
"Here...." Mike reached in his coat's pocket to give her a bottle
of what seemed like perfume. "Spray it on people, it will turn them
unconcious for a couple of seconds, shifters can't maintain their
guise when unconcious". "You can get more of these from that
pharmaceutical lab at the corner of the town."
~I have loved the stars too fondly to be

Angel took the bottle carefully and nodded. "Understood." She slid
it into her pocket carefully. She had to make sure she didn't get
it on herself. Sure she hadn't changed much, but it'd be noticed if
she did go unconscious. "Are we headed out?"
"Sure" Mike said, putting his chair back, "anything to close this
case for good, it's too boring anyways." He then sprinted out of
the room,"last one to the car has to drive!"

Angel chuckled and walked out to the car, happy to drive. It was
one thing in her life that she could control perfectly. Besides,
she didn't like being driven around, she much preferred having the
wheel.
After a small journey, the car stopped. Mike looked put of the
window, they had arrived. 28 houses poorly arranged in a colony.
And, their culprit hiding somewhere in there. "You take the half of
them, I will take care of the other half" he said getting out of
the car.
